Qatar Airways temporarily stops accepting new reservations from the UAE

Doha: Qatar Airways has announced that it will temporarily stop accepting new reservations from the United Arab Emirates for the next seven days, due to a similar British decision.

The national carrier tweeted on its Twitter account that the reservations for South Africa and Rwanda have been temporarily suspended, too.

Qatar Airways explained that the exceptions include citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council countries and holders of residency permits returning to other Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

It added: Acceptance of pre-booked passengers is dependent on COVID-19 protocols and government permission to enter their final destination country.

الدوحة: أعلنت الخطوط الجوية القطرية عن إيقاف قبول الحجوزات الجديدة من الإمارات العربية المتحدة مؤقتاً للأيام السبعة المقبلة على خلفية قرار بريطاني مماثل. 

وقالت الناقلة الوطنية – في حسابها على تويتر – إنه كذلك كما تم تعليق حجوزات جنوب إفريقيا ورواندا مؤقتًا.

وأوضحت أنه تشمل الاستثناءات مواطني دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي وحاملي تصاريح الإقامة العائدين إلى دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي الأخرى.

وأضافت: يعتمد قبول الركاب الذين تم حجزهم مسبقًا على بروتوكولات كوفيد–19 والإذن الحكومي لدخول بلد وجهتهم النهائية.
