Doha: HE Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) President Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani crowned the winners of His Excellency’s Rifle Day.

Al Wasmiyah Farm’s NOOR AL HAWA (Makfi x Majestic Roi) was expected to make a bold bid in the HE SHEIKH JOAAN bin HAMAD AL THANI RIFLE (T/B) (4YO & OLDER) on Thursday, having completed a hat-trick, including a Group 2 last time round a Listed in November. Georges Mikhalides-saddled 8yo stayed true to that form when he extended his run of successes with a fine win in the 2200m run at the Al Rayyan Park turf track on Thursday. With Alberto Sanna in the saddle, the chestnut horse beat a high quality field, edging out Qatar Derby (Gr 1) winner HELLENISTIQUE (Wootton Bassett x Hasturianita) by a length. Zuhair Mohsen trained Hellenistique was ridden to runner up spot by Marco Casamento in the colours of Injaaz Stud. Ivan Rossi guided Hassan Ali Alabdulmalik’s SEEYOUBYME (Siyouni x Peinted Song), saddled by Deborah Amanda Clare Mountain, to third place finish.

HE Sheikha Yasmeen MK Al Thani’s MON’NIA (Amer x Margouia) was expected to give a good account when lining up for the HE SHEIKH JOAAN BIN HAMAD AL THANI TROPHY (Gr3 PA) (4YO & OLDER) on Thursday, having impressed in a fourth place in the Derby last month following her wins in the Guineas and the Oaks Trial earlier in the season. Julian Colin Smart trained mare did not disappoint as the 5yo entered the winner’s circle for the seventh time overall. With Tomas Lukasek in the saddle, Mon’nia was in her elements on the home straight in the 2200m race as she went past the post three lengths in front of Al Shaqab Racing’s group winner AL NAAMA (Majd Al Arab x Entisar), ridden by Soufiane Saadi for Alban Elie De Mieulle. Osama Omer Al Dafea’s C&D winner GINKEAU (Divamer x Eauvation Des Cedres) was third under Alberto Sanna.

Qatari jockey Faleh Bughanaim rode his seventh winner of the season when he guided Hassan Ali Alabdulmalik’s TAREK DU SOLEIL (Dahess x Musique Du Soleil) to his first victory in Qatar on Thursday. Placed on his first two outings, the Deborah Amanda Clare Mountain trained colt tracked early leaders early on in the HE SHEIKH JOAAN BIN HAMAD AL THANI TROPHY (4YO P/A) before Bughanaim whipped his mount to up the pace. Marco Casamento and his partner HADJIRA DE FLAUZINS (Josco Du Cayrou x Ishraf) gave chase in the final 50m but Tarek Du Soleil held on to his position by a neck for a fine win. Ronan Thomas ridden FIRST CLASSS (Dahess x Toppoftheclass) was third.

Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Attiya’s ATEEJ (AF AlBahar x Sahara Croixnoire) had won a big Gr 3 sprint earlier this month before finishing a fair second in a conditions. On Thursday, back up on trip to a mile, Gassim Ghazali trained horse had Marco Casamento for company in the HE SHEIKH JOAAN BIN HAMAD AL THANI TROPHY (P/A). Casamento and Ateej were at the back of the pack early on, before making the move on the outside coming on to the straight. Al Shaqab Racing’s Al Efreeta tried staying toe to toe with 8yo Ateej, but the latter managed to edge her out by quarter of a length for a fine win. Tomas Lukasek ridden Methgal was third behind Ronan Thomas and Al Efreeta. 

Abdulhadi Mana Al Hajri’s DOMINUS (Zoffany x Gwen Lady Byron) went one better than his last outing to land his second victory this season. Impressive when runner up in the Gr 3 Barzan Cup in November, the break would have only done well for the Stefano Ibido schooled horse in the HE SHEIKH JOAAN BIN HAMAD AL THANI TROPHY (T/B) (4YO & OLDER) on Thursday. With Alberto Sanna in the saddle, the 5yo chestnut put up a determined run at the business end to edge out Tomas Lukasek ridden Zarandi by half a length at the post, whiel Michael Forest helmed Hydroxide made it to third place.

Abdulatif Hussain Al Emadi’s BLACK PEARL (Footstepsinthesand x Ella) improved his strike rate topping the H.E. SHEIKH JOAAN BIN HAMAD AL THANI TROPHY (L T/B) in a close finish on Thursday. Ridden by Soufiane Saadi for Bader Al Balushi, the 5yo race to his eighth win in 11 starts when landing the 1850m run. Winner of a seven furlong conditions event last month, followed by a fifth place in a miler earlier this month, Black Pearl had little trouble stepping up to the distance for only the second time in his career, beating Ronan Thomas ridden Equinoxe by half a length, while Tomas Lukasek ridden Shaman Bu Thaila finished third.

Khalifa Bin Sheail Al Kuwari’s SOLDIERPOY (Sepoy x Lamps Of Heaven) continued his unbeaten run in Doha entering the winner’s circle for the fourth straight time on Thursday. The Mohammed Hussain Afroz trained gelding lined up for the HE SHEIKH JOAAN BIN HAMAD AL THANI TROPHY (3YO T/B) a little more than a month after landing the Al Rayyan Stakes over C&D. With Jason Watson in the saddle for the seven furlong race, the bay horse edged out two of Mohammed Ghazali’s wards Thunderstone (Alberto Sanna) and Devious Company (Michael Forest) at the post by a neck for a memorable win.

Injaaz Stud’s IZZTHATRIGHT (Moss Vale x Miss Adelaide) registered his first victory on turf this season in thrilling fashion on Thursday. Ridden by Marco Casamento for the first time, Zuhair Mohsen saddled gelding held a narrow advantage on the straight in the HE SHEIKH JOAAN BIN HAMAD AL THANI TROPHY (T/B) (3YO & OLDER) with JP Guillambert ridden Taxiwala breathing down his neck. However, 9yo Izzthatright managed to keep his lead to win by a neck at the post in the six furlong sprint even as Alberto Sanna ridden Arabic Channel completed the top three.

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani’s KHATAFAYNEE (AF AlBahar x Fifth) showed some amazing turn of foot on the home straight win for the second time this season around Al Rayyan Park. Helmed by Tomas Lukasek, th Julian Colin Smart trained 5yo landed the seven furlong LOCAL PUREBRED ARABIAN NOVICE CUP after making up ground on his rivals coming off the final bend and winning by a length at the post.

Ali bin Thamer bin Ali Al Mehshadi’s KHANOOR (AF AlBahar x Ultimome) had shown promise on her racecourse bow when fourth last month over C&D. The Zuhair Mohsen trained filly built on that performance to land the LOCAL PUREBRED ARABIAN MAIDEN PLATE on Thursday. In the mile long race on turf, Marco Casamento ridden 4yo made full use of her weight advantage to make it home with one and a half lengths to spare. In the process, the filly led a one two for Mohsen after Michael Forest rode Mubadir to second place.

الدوحة: توج سعادة الشيخ جوعان بن حمد آل ثاني رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية القطرية الفائزين بالمراكز الأولى في الأشواط من الثامن إلى العاشر، ضمن منافسات السباق الـ/29 / في الموسم الحالي على جوائز وبندقية سعادته.

واشتمل السباق على 10 أشواط أقيمت على المضمار العشبي لنادي السباق والفروسية بمنطقة الريان، كما توج سعادته الفائزين بالمراكز الأولى في سباق /السابق التراثي/ الفائز بالمركز الأول فيه الفارس على خالد المسلم مع الجواد ” كايد دي لاروس “.

وظفر الجواد ” نور الهوى ” ملك مزرعة الوسمية بلقب بندقية سعادة الشيخ جوعان بن حمد آل ثاني للخيل المهجنة الأصيلة (الدرجة 2) لمسافة 2200 متر ، بعد فوزه بالمركز الأول في الشوط العاشر، بفارق طول مع المدرب جورج ميكاليدس والخيال ألبرتو سنا.

وفازت الفرس “منية” ملك سعادة الشيخة ياسمين بنت محمد بن خليفة آل ثاني ، بجائزة سعادة الشيخ جوعان بن حمد آل ثاني من الفئة الثالثة للخيل العربية الأصيلة عمر 4 سنوات فما فوق لمسافة 2200 متر بعد ان احرزت المركز الأول في الشوط التاسع، و بفارق 3 أطوال مع المدرب جوليان سمارت والخيال توماس لوكاسك .

واحرز المهر “طارق دو سوليّ” ملك حسن علي عبدالملك العبدالملك الفوز بجائزة سعادة الشيخ جوعان بن حمد آل ثاني للخيل العربية الأصيلة عمر 4 سنوات لمسافة 1850 مترا ، بعد ان حقق الفوز بالمركز الأول في الشوط الثامن بفارق عنق مع المدربة ديبي ماونتن والخيال فالح بوغنيم .

أما في الاشواط المتبقية من السباق ففازت المهرة “خنور” ملك وإنتاج علي بن ثامر بن علي المحشادي بالمركز الأول في الشوط الأول، المخصص للخيل العربية الأصيلة إنتاج محلي المبتدئة لمسافة 1600 متر بفارق طول ونصف مع المدرب زهير محسن والخيال ماركو كازامنتو.

ونجح الجواد “خطف عيني” ملك وإنتاج سمو الشيخ محمد بن خليفة آل ثاني في الفوز بالمركز الاول في ثاني الاشواط على كأس الخيل العربية الأصيلة إنتاج محلي المبتدئة والفائزة بسباق لمسافة 1400متر ، بفارق طول مع المدرب جوليان سمارت والخيال توماس لوكاسك.

وتمكن الجواد “إز ذات رايت” ملك مـربط إنجـاز من الفوز بالمركز الاول في الشوط الثالث ليحصل على جائزة سعادة الشيخ جوعان بن حمد آل ثاني للسرعة للخيل المهجنة الأصيلة عمر 3 سنوات فما فوق، الدرجة 2، لمسافة 1200م بفارق عنق مع المدرب زهير محسن والخيال ماركو كازامنتو .

وفاز الجواد “سولدجر بوي” ملك خليفة بن شعيل الكواري بالمركز الأول في الشوط الرابع ليحصد جائزة سعادة الشيخ جوعان بن حمد آل ثاني للخيل المهجنة الأصيلة عمر 3 سنوات الدرجة 2 لمسافة 1400 متر ،وبفارق عنق مع المدرب محمد حسين والخيال جيسن واتسن .

وظفر الجواد “بلاك بيرل” ملك وإنتاج عبد اللطيف حسين زينل العمادي بالمركز الاول في الشوط الخامس ، ليحصد جائزة سعادة الشيخ جوعان بن حمد آل ثاني للخيل المهجنة الأصيلة إنتاج محلي عمر 4 سنوات فما فوق لمسافة 1850 م بفارق نصف طول مع المدرب بدر البلوشي والخيال سفيان سعدي .

وفاز الجواد “دومينوس” ملك عبدالهادي مانع الشهواني الهاجري بالمركز الأول في الشوط السادس لينال لقب جائزة سعادة الشيخ جوعان بن حمد آل ثاني للخيل المهجنة الأصيلة، عمر 4 سنوات فما فوق الدرجة 2 لمسافة 1400 م بفارق نصف طول مع المدرب ستيفانو إبيدو والخيال ألبرتو سنا .

كما فاز الجواد “عتيج” ملك محمد بن أحمد بن محمد العطية بجائزة سعادة الشيخ جوعان بن حمد آل ثاني للخيل العربية الأصيلة لمسافة 1600 متر بعد ان جاء في المركز الأول في الشوط السابع بفارق ربع طول مع المدرب جاسم الغزالي والخيال ماركو كازامنتو.

وقال السيد عيسى محمد المهندي رئيس مجلس إدارة نادي السباق والفروسية في تصريح لوكالة الأنباء القطرية /قنا/، إن السباق اليوم كان مميزا ومثيرا وشهد مشاركة جيدة من الملاك ومن خلال النتائج التي تحققت في الأشواط الـ/10/ اتضح أن المنافسات في مهرجان سيف حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى ستكون قوية، خاصة أن الكل استعد بشكل جيد من أجل المنافسة على أغلى الجوائز في سباق المهرجان المحدد له أيام 18 و19 و20 من شهر فبراير المقبل.

وأوضح ان النادي يواصل اعداده لتنظيم مهرجان سيف أمير البلاد المفدى الذي نتوقع أن يشهد مشاركة كبيرة من خارج الدولة ،حيث وجهنا بعض الدعوات للمشاركة ونحن في اتم استعداداتنا سواء من النواحي التنظيمية أو من خلال التحسينات في البنية التحتية، ومستعدون لأغلى وأهم سباقات الموسم.

وأشار المهندي إلى أن موسم السباقات في النادي كان مميزا للغاية رغم جائحة كورونا، ولكن بفضل الاجراءات الاحترازية المشددة نجح النادي في تنظيم موسم رائع.

ومن جانبه ، أشاد السيد حمد بن عبدالرحمن العطية رئيس الاتحاد القطري للفروسية ونائب رئيس نادي السباق والفروسية بالأجواء المميزة التي سيطرت على سباق اليوم ، ومشيراً إلى أن المنافسات جاءت قوية كما كان متوقعاً.

وأضاف أن الفترة الحالية حافلة بالسباقات والبطولات سواء على مستوى جمال الخيل والتي اختتمت بطولتها قبل أيام، وستكون هناك بطولة أخرى في مهرجان كبير في أوائل الشهر المقبل بكتارا، وكذلك سباقات الخيل المتواصلة، والتي تشهد سباقات كبيرة حافلة بالمنافسة وثرية بالمستويات المميزة.

وأشاد رئيس الاتحاد القطري للفروسية بالحرص على اقامة سباق “السابق” خلال السباقات الكبيرة، مشيراً إلى أنه ينمي المنافسة لدى الفرسان الصغار الذين يعتبرون عماد مستقبل الفروسية القطرية.
