Opening Two Streets and Completion of Infrastructure Works in Rawdat Abal Heeran Area
فتح شارعين أمام الحركة المرورية والانتهاء من تنفيذ أعمال بنية تحتية بمنطقة روضة أبا الحيران
The Public Works Authority “Ashghal” announces the completion of upgrading works on 1.8 km of Street 1400 and approximately 1 km of Street 300 in Abal Heeran Area and opening them to traffic in addition to completion of infrastructure works in the area. These works aim at facilitating the commuting and easing off the traffic movement in Rawdat Abal Heeran, as part of “Ashghal’s” strategy to improve the road network across the whole country.
Eng. Abdullah Al-Sowaidi, Project Engineer in the Roads Projects Department, pointed out that “Ashghal” was keen to accelerate works in the area and deliver the project on time to serve residents of densely-populated Rawdat Abal Heeran Area which comprises several educational facilities, mosques and commercial shops. The project also included providing entrances to the main electrical power station in the area.
He then explained that the recently completed works within the project included 2.8 km of road works consisting in the upgrade of Street 1400 and Street 300, 2.8 km of service roads as well as the construction of 4 roundabouts providing a link to 3 main streets to facilitate the traffic movement in the area in addition to integrated infrastructure works to serve the residents of Rawdat Abal Heeran.
Eng. Al-Sowaidi added that the infrastructure works conducted within the project involved the construction of 3.5 km of foul sewer network, 4.9 km of surface and stormwater network, 3.3 km of TSE network, 0.6 km of potable water network in addition to 11 km of telecommunications lines and 4 km of electricity lines. The newly upgraded streets were also provided by 89 lighting poles as well as road markings and other equipment to improve the road safety.
It is worth mentioning that the project has achieved, throughout its execution period, more than one million and 285 thousand man-hour work without lost time injury as the Public Works Authority is very committed to workers’ welfare and safety which is reflected by adopting strict measures and procedures for site work safety.
أعلنت هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” عن اكتمال أعمال تطوير شارع 1400 بطول 1.8 كلم وشارع 300 بطول كيلومتر واحد تقريباً بمنطقة روضة أبا الحيران وافتتاحهما بالكامل أمام الحركة المرورية، بالإضافة إلى تنفيذ أعمال بنية تحتية متكاملة بالمنطقة بهدف تسهيل التنقل والحركة المرورية في منطقة روضة أبا الحيران، وذلك ضمن خطة “أشغال” لتحسين شبكة الطرق في جميع أنحاء الدولة.
وقد أشار المهندس/ عبد الله السويدي، مدير المشروع بإدارة مشروعات الطرق، إلى أن “أشغال” قد حرصت على تسريع وتيرة الأعمال وتسليم المشروع في الأجل المحدد لخدمة سكان المنطقة حيث تعتبر منطقة روضة أبا الحيران منطقة سكنية كثيفة تضم العديد من المؤسسات التعليمية والمساجد والمحلات التجارية التي يخدمها المشروع، كما اشتمل المشروع على توفير مداخل لمحطة الكهرباء الرئيسية بالمنطقة.
كما أوضح المهندس السويدي أن الأعمال المنجزة مؤخرا ضمن المشروع تضمنت تنفيذ 2.8 كيلومتراً من أعمال الطرق التي تتمثل في تطوير شارع 1400 وشارع 300 إلى جانب توفير طرق خدمية بطول 2.8 كيلومتراً وإنشاء 4 دوارات توفر ربطاً مع ثلاثة من الشوارع الرئيسية بالمنطقة لتسهيل حركة التنقل بينهم علاوة على تنفيذ أعمال بنية تحتية متكاملة تخدم سكان المنطقة.
وأضاف المهندس السويدي أنه قد تم ضمن أعمال البنية التحتية المنفذة في المشروع، استكمال أعمال إنشاء شبكة للصرف الصحي بطول 3.5 كيلومتراً وشبكة لتصريف مياه الأمطار والمياه السطحية بطول 4.9 كيلومتر وشبكة للمياه المعالجة بطول 3.3 كيلومتر بالإضافة إلى تنفيذ شبكة للمياه الصالحة للشرب بطول 0.6 كيلومتر وخطوط لشبكة الاتصالات بطول 11 كيلومتر وخطوط الكهرباء بطول 4 كيلومترات فضلاً على تزويد الطرق الجديدة بعدد 89 عمود للإنارة بالإضافة إلى العلامات الأرضية وغيرها من عناصر تضمن رفع كفاءة السلامة المرورية عليهما.
ويجدر الذكر أن المشروع قد حقق على طوال مدّة إنجازه، أكثر من مليون و285 ألف ساعة عمل دون إصابات تؤدي إلى تعطيل العمل وذلك لالتزام الهيئة بالحفاظ على سلامة العمّال، والاهتمام بهم من خلال تبني إجراءات ونظم صارمة فيما يتعلق بمعايير السلامة في مناطق العمل.
