Developing Qatari Test, Vaccine and Vaccination for Coronavirus has been announced

Dr. Sawsan Zugher, infectious diseases research Official and associate professor of Microbiology and Immunology at Qatar University, revealed the University’s Bioresearch Center has developed a new test for the early detection of Coronavirus (Covid-19), as well as the development of an effective and protective vaccination or vaccine for the virus.
“We are trying to find quick solutions for early detection, and we are developing a blood serum test to detect people with the disease,” Said Dr. Sawsan Zugher, in an interview with Qatar Tv’s “Social Distance” program on Saturday evening.
“When we are exposed to the virus, our bodies produce antibiotics that attack the virus and prevent it from spreading more and more infection.. If a person is exposed to the epidemic, his body responds with immunity and the production of antibodies.” Said Zugher.
She added: “What we are trying to do is develop a test to be ready if necessary if the specialized medical equipment is lacking in the test.. also practicing for the future, we also have the means, the brains and the ability to produce local tests.”
The Director of Infectious Disease Research at Qatar University has also revealed the development of an effective and protective vaccine against Coved 19, and we at Qatar University and our colleagues at Qatar Foundation are trying to find such solutions.
She confirmed that Qatar University’s Scientific Research Body coordinated researches on Corona and stressed the synergy of efforts to improve solutions that help the Ministry of Health fight the epidemic.
She said: Qatar has provided us with a very good infrastructure for scientific research so it is our moral and academic duty to provide our best to find solutions. A positive aspect of this crisis is that we sharpen our efforts to find solutions and we can produce a test and vaccination, as Qatar Pharma says, “with our hands making our medicine.”

كشفت الدكتورة سوسن زوغير مسؤولة أبحاث الأمراض المعدية – أستاذ مشارك علم الأحياء الدقيقة والمناعة – بجامعة قطر عن تطوير مركز البحوث الحيوية بالجامعة لفحص جديد للكشف المبكر عن فيروس كورونا (كوفيد – 19)، وكذلك تطوير تطعيم أولقاح يكون فعالا وواقياً ضد الفيروس .
وقالت الدكتورة سوسن زوغير – خلال مقابلة مع برنامج “المسافة الاجتماعية” على تليفزيون قطر مساء اليوم السبت – “نحاول إيجاد حلول سريعة للكشف المبكر، ونطور فحص مصل للدم، للكشف عن المصابين بالمرض”.
وفي التفاصيل، أوضحت زوغير : “عندما نتعرض للفيروس أجسامنا تتنج مضادات حيوية تهاجم الفيروس وتمنعه من نشر العدوى أكثر فأكثر.. فإذا تعرض شخص لهذا الوباء فإن جسمه يرد بالمناعة وإنتاج الأجسام المضادة”.
أضافت: “ما نحاول فعله هو تطوير فحص ليكون جاهزاً في حال الضرورة إذا ما نقصت المعدات الطبية المتخصصة في الفحص.. وكذلك للتدريب المستقبل ولدينا الإمكانيات والعقول والقدرة على إنتاج الفحوصات المحلية”.
كما كشفت مسؤولة أبحاث الأمراض المعدية بجامعة قطر عن تطوير تطعيم أولقاح يكون فعالا وواقياً ضد الكوفيد 19، ونحن في جامعة قطر مع زملائنا في مؤسسة قطر نحاول إيجاد مثل هذه الحلول .
وأكدت أن هيئة البحث العلمي بجامعة قطر قامت بتنسيق الأبحاث حول كورونا، وشددت على تظافر الجهود للارتقاء بحلول تساعد وزارة الصحة على مكافحة هذا الوباء.
وقالت: دولة قطر وفرت لنا بنية تحتية جيدة جدا للبحث العلمي ولذلك من واجبنا الأخلاقي والأكاديمي أن نقدم أفضل ما لدينا لإيجاد الحلول.. وهناك جانب إيجابي في هذه الأزمة وهو أن نشحذ الهمم كي نجد الحلول ونستطيع أن ننتج فحص وتطعيم كما تقول “قطر فارما” بأيدينا نصنع دوائنا”.
