33 missing kids found by anti-trafficking operation

Doha: The American authorities said that a large operation, in which several security agencies participated, led to the recovery of about thirty children who were missing, including several who were exploited.
In a statement to Euronews, the FBI said a human trafficking suspect had been arrested and formally charged.
“Operation Lost Angels” began on January 11th, and the FBI said 33 children were rescued, including eight who were already exploited.
A number of other victims have been exploited in the past and have been identified as missing children at risk, authorities said.
Two of the victims were recovered from a site known for abusing and trafficking children, and the FBI says it is possible that the victims will return spontaneously, by force, or by threats.
The Office notes that this harmful episode highlights the challenges faced by victims, as well as social and security law enforcement cadres, when they try to prevent victims from returning to a situation where they are being used.
The FBI indicates that the victims themselves may not notice that they are being exploited.

الدوحة: قالت السلطات الأمريكية إن عملية واسعة شاركت فيها عدة وكالات أمنية، أفضت إلى استعادة نحو ثلاثين طفلا كانوا في عداد المفقودين، من بينهم عدد تعرض للاستغلال.
وقال مكتب التحقيقات الفدرالي – في بيان بحسب “يورونيوز” – إنه تم اعتقال مشتبه به بالإتجار بالبشر وقد وجهت له تهم رسمية.
وكانت “عملية الملائكة المفقودة” بدأت في 11 يناير الحالي، قال مكتب التحقيقات الفدرالي إنه تم إنقاذ 33 طفلا، من بينهم ثمانية حرى استغلالهم بالفعل .
وكان هناك عدد من الضحايا الآخرين، تعرضوا للاستغلال في الماضي، واعتبروا أطفالاً مفقودين معرضين للخطر، بحسب السلطات.
وتمت استعادة اثنين من الضحايا من موقع معروف بتجارة واستعلال الأطفال، ويقول مكتب التحقيقات الفدرالي إنه من الوارد أن يعود الضحايا من تلقاء أنفسهم أو بالقوة أو عن طريق التهديدات.
ويشير المكتب إلى إن هذه الحلقة المؤذية تسلط الضوء على التحديات التي يواجهها الضحايا، وكذلك الكوادر العاملين في مجال “إنفاذ القانون”، الاجتماعي والأمني، عندما يحاولون منع الضحايا من العودة إلى وضع يتعرضون فيه للانتهاك.
ويبين مكتب التحقيقات أن الضحايا أنفسهم قد لا يلحظون أنهم مستغلون.
