Shura Council Holds Regular Weekly Meeting

Doha: The Shura Council held its regular weekly meeting on Monday under the chairmanship of HE the Speaker Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Council hailed the arrival of the first shipment of the Covid-19 vaccine in implementation of the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to provide this vaccine to everyone according to the State of Qatar’s health standards.

The Council renewed its thanks and appreciation to the medical personnel in the health sector and to all the State’s institutions and entities for the success achieved in containing the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Shura Council also hailed the State of Qatar’s victory to host the 2030 Asian Games, as this will enhance the pioneering role the country is playing in the sports arena, regionally and globally, noting the appreciation it reflects on the position of the State of Qatar, its role and its internal and external achievements under the wise leadership of HH the Amir.

During its meeting, the Council reviewed the Cabinet’s memo regarding the complementary recommendation of the Shura Council regarding the harm to the children of divorced and widowed Qatari women from fathers from the countries of the blockade, which included the letter of HE Minister of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs on the Ministry’s views in this regard, as well as the Cabinet’s decision to refer the recommendation of the Shura Council that priority be given to granting permanent residency permit to the children of a Qatari woman married to non-Qatari to the Ministry of Interior, so that the Ministry takes the necessary measures in this regard to overcome the difficulties facing the children of a Qatari mother.

The Shura Council then expressed thanks and appreciation to the esteemed government for its cooperation and for responding to its recommendations.

الدوحة:عقد مجلس الشورى جلسته الأسبوعية العادية يوم الأمس برئاسة سعادة السيد أحمد بن عبدالله بن زيد آل محمود رئيس المجلس.

في بداية الجلسة أشاد المجلس بوصول أول شحنة من لقاح كورونا (كوفيد- 19) تنفيذا لتوجيهات حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى “حفظه الله”، وتوفير هذا اللقاح للجميع وفق معايير دولة قطر الصحية. وجدد المجلس الشكر والتقدير للكوادر الطبية في القطاع الصحي ولكل مؤسسات وأجهزة الدولة المعنية لما تحقق من نجاح في التصدي لجائحة كورونا.

كما أشاد المجلس بفوز دولة قطر باستضافة دورة الألعاب الآسيوية 2030 وما يمثله ذلك من تعزيز للدور الريادي الذي تقوم به البلاد على الساحة الرياضية، إقليميا وعالميا، وما يعكسه من تقدير لمكانة دولة قطر ودورها وإنجازاتها الداخلية والخارجية في ظل القيادة الحكيمة لحضرة صاحب السمو أمير البلاد المفدى “حفظه الله”.

واطلع المجلس خلال جلسته على مذكرة مجلس الوزراء بشأن التوصية التكميلية لمجلس الشورى بمناسبة مناقشة موضوع الضرر الواقع على أبناء الأم القطرية (المطلقات والأرامل) من آباء من دول الحصار والمتضمنة كتاب سعادة وزير التنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية حول مرئيات الوزارة في هذا الصدد، وكذلك قرار مجلس الوزراء بإحالة توصية مجلس الشورى بأن تكون الأولوية في منح بطاقة الإقامة الدائمة لأولاد القطرية المتزوجة من غير القطري إلى وزارة الداخلية لتتولى الوزارة اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة في هذا الشأن لتذليل الصعاب التي تواجه أبناء الأم القطرية.

وعبر المجلس عن شكره وتقديره للحكومة الموقرة لتعاونها في الاستجابة لتوصياته.
