Umrah performers excluded from Coronavirus pre-testing

Doha: Major Abdullah al-Jasmi, head of the administrative department of the airport passport department, revealed that Umrah performers are treated in special manner and excluded from pre-screening of the Corona Covid-19 virus where they can conduct it upon arrival in the country, adding that the movement of entry and exit of vaccinated passengers has been facilitated.

Major Al Jasmi said that the check-in procedures changed with the Corona Covid-19 pandemic, and passengers had some necessary requirements that the traveler is required to highlight upon entry such as a PCR examination certificate and vaccination certificates, but with the efforts of the competent authorities working in the field, especially the Crisis Committee and the quarantine cell and recommendations from the Ministry, these procedures were facilitated as much as possible, as access procedures are actually facilitated especially for vaccinated passengers who took the doses of the vaccine and completed the period of 14 days after the second dose, where they only had to highlight EHTERAZ app and a certificate of examination to enter the country, and now we do not need to show EHTERAZ after merging it with the systems of the airport passports, as the passenger goes directly to the passports to complete the check-in, the passenger only has to have a certificate of examination 72 hours before arrival and 48 hours for passengers coming from the red list countries.

In an interview with The Police With You Program on Qatar Radio, al-Jasmi added yesterday that for Umrah performing travellers, their procedures have been facilitated and they are treated in a special way with the approval of the Minister of Health, as this category is excluded from pre-examination and they can conduct the test at the airport on arrival or if they meet the conditions of vaccine or home quarantine, Umrah performers heading to hotel quarantine will conduct a corona Covid-19 examination in hotels.

Smart Traveller program
For his part, Captain Mubarak al-Nuaimi, an operations officer at the Airport Security Department, revealed that the departures lounge at Hamad International Airport has been converted to smart traveller system, and that electronic gates are provided to facilitate the entry and exit of passengers without the intervention of any human worker.

Captain Al Nuaimi said that there is cooperation between the Security Department of Hamad International Airport and the Airport Passport Department aims to facilitate procedures significantly on passengers, through the smart program, passengers when entering the departures lounge go to the smart device counters located in the departures lounge where the passenger can complete the travel procedures without the intervention of the human element, stressing that one of the positives of smart devices is that the passenger after the completion of the procedures of Qatar Airways or other airlines scans the passport or travel document and then the boarding pass is issued to him and then goes to the electronic portal of the Passport Department, and then passes electronically after examination and installation by the smart device and then passes the security inspection device of the Airport Security Department, which is a self-inspection through the device through which the passenger and luggage pass.

وقال الرائد الجسمي إن إجراءات الدخول تغيرت مع جائحة كورونا كوفيد – 19، وأصبح على المسافرين بعض المتطلبات الضرورية التي يطلب من المسافر إبرازها عند الدخول مثل شهادة فحص PCR وشهادات التطعيم ولكن بجهود الجهات المختصة العاملة في المجال خاصة لجنة الأزمات وخلية الحجر الصحي وبتوصيات من الوزارة تم تسهيل هذه الإجراءات قدر المستطاع حيث تم فعليا تسهيل إجراءات الوصول خاصة للمسافرين المتطعمين الذين استوفوا جرعتي اللقاح واستكملوا مدة الـ 14 يوما بعد الجرعة الثانية، حيث كان يتطلب عليهم فقط إبراز تطبيق احتراز وشهادة الفحص لدخول البلاد، والحين أصبحنا لا نحتاج لإبراز احتراز بعد دمجه مع الانظمة التابعة لجوازات المطار، حيث إن المسافر يتوجه مباشرة الى الجوازات لتكملة إجراءات الدخول، فقط عليه أن يكون حاصلا على شهادة فحص قبل 72 ساعة من الوصول و48 ساعة للمسافرين القادمين من دول الباقة الحمراء.

وأضاف الرائد الجسمي في حديث لبرنامج الشرطة معك عبر أثير إذاعة قطر، أمس، أنه بالنسبة للمسافرين لأداء مناسك العمرة فقد تم تسهيل إجراءاتهم ومعاملتهم معاملة خاصة بموافقة وزيرة الصحة، حيث إن هذه الفئة مستثناة من الفحص المسبق وبإمكانهم الفحص بالمطار عند الوصول أو إذا كانوا مستوفين لشروط اللقاح او الحجر المنزلي، اما المعتمرون المتوجهون إلى الحجر الفندقي فسيجرون فحص كورونا كوفيد -19 لهم بالفنادق.

المسافر الذكي
ومن جانبه كشف النقيب مبارك النعيمي، ضابط عمليات بإدارة أمن المطار، عن تحويل صالة المغادرين في مطار حمد الدولي إلى نظام المسافر الذكي، وتوفير بوابات إلكترونية لتسهيل حركة دخول وخروج المسافرين دون تدخل أي عامل بشري.

وقال النقيب النعيمي إن هناك تعاونا بين ادارة أمن مطار حمد الدولي وادارة جوازات المطار يهدف إلى التيسير بشكل كبير على المسافرين، وذلك من خلال البرنامج الذكي، فالمسافرون عند دخولهم صالة المغادرين يتوجهون الى كاونترات الاجهزة الذكية الموجودة في صالة المغادرين حيث يستطيع المسافر أن يكمل إجراءات السفر دون تدخل العنصر البشري، مؤكدا أن من إيجابيات الأجهزة الذكية أن المسافر بعد الانتهاء من إجراءات الخطوط الجوية القطرية أو خطوط الطيران الأخرى يقوم بالمسح الضوئي على الجواز أو مستند السفر وبعد ذلك تصدر له بطاقة الصعود للطائرة ومن ثم يتوجه إلى البوابة الإلكترونية الخاصة بادارة الجوازات، ثم يتم مروره إلكترونيا بعد الفحص والتثبيت من قبل الجهاز الذكي وبعدها يمر على جهاز التفتيش الأمني الخاص بادارة أمن المطار وهو تفتيش ذاتي عبر الجهاز الذي يمر من خلاله المسافر والأمتعة.
