Sheikh Joaan Participates in an informal meeting of the IOC

Doha: His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, and H.E. Jassim bin Rashid Al Buainain, Secretary-General, participated in the informal meeting of the International Olympic Committee held yesterday afternoon via video communication technology, chaired by Dr. Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee, and the participation of the leaders of the National Olympic Committees.

During the meeting, the members discussed the latest developments in the Olympic movement and reviewed the executive office’s decisions for the Tokyo 2020 and Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, as well as the topics on the agenda, and made the necessary decisions.

الدوحة: شارك سعادة الشيخ جوعان بن حمد آل ثاني رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية القطرية، وسعادة جاسم بن راشد البوعينين الأمين العام، في الاجتماع غير الرسمي للجنة الأولمبية الدولية والذي عقد ظهر أمس عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي، برئاسة د.توماس باخ رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية الدولية، ومشاركة قيادات اللجان الأولمبية الوطنية.

وناقش الأعضاء خلال الاجتماع آخر مستجدات الحركة الأولمبية، كما استعرضوا قرارات المكتب التنفيذي المتعلقة بدورة الألعاب الأولمبية – طوكيو 2020 ودورة الألعاب الأولمبية الشتوية – بيجين 2022، بالإضافة إلى الموضوعات المُدرجة على جدول الأعمال، واتخذوا بشأنها القرارات اللازمة.
