Katara launches the tenth edition of the Halal Qatar Festival next February

Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, will organize the tenth edition of the Halal Qatar Festival 2021, during the period between February 13th and 21st, which is concerned with raising sheep (goats and lamb). Katara has three main activities: “Auction, Elite Auction, and Mazain”, in addition to the barns.
The Halal Qatar Festival is one of the most prominent heritage festivals launched by Katara at the level of Qatar and the countries of the region. The festival comes within the framework of the Cultural Village Foundation’s continuous efforts to revive the Badia’s heritage and preserve the authentic customs and traditions associated with it, through a vivid picture that beats in various details. Life and the wild and desert environment, as it aims to document and root the relationship between the past and the present, in addition to strengthening this ancient legacy in the hearts of new generations.
The festival, which Katara is holding for the tenth year in a row, while continuing to take precautionary measures to confront the Coronavirus “Covid-19”, provides a distinctive platform for ranchers to display and acquire the best types of halal, and to introduce the aesthetics, features and specifications found in sheep and goats, In addition to what this platform provides in terms of competition and motivation for breeders to improve animal production and develop related industries, in addition to the cultural and educational role that the festival plays in the field of strengthening the national identity and consolidating it in the hearts of contemporary generations.
In this context, the Organizing Committee of the Festival” Halal Qatar” announced that the tenth edition of the festival is distinguished by a distinct Gulf participation, expressing its happiness with this participation represented by the participation of a group of ranchers and halal owners from the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council in the “Mazain” event.
The Organizing Committee added that the next edition includes three main activities: (the auction, Mazain and the barns), explaining that the period between 12 pm and 3 pm will witness the delivery of the various halal participants in the daily auction that will be held daily throughout the festival and starts after the afternoon prayer until the evening call to prayer, and without the participant paying any fees.
The organizing committee indicated that the “Mazain” event will display the most beautiful halal species within certain aesthetic criteria that will be measured by specialized arbitration committees, through the establishment of various rounds in which the owners of halal participate to compete with each other with financial prizes for the first five places, noting that the period between 9 and 11 am will witness the delivery of the halal participant in the “Al-Mazain”, which is of three categories: “Arab sheep, Arid goats, and Syrian sheep.” The tenth edition of the Halal Qatar Festival also contains a barn activity that includes a display of sheep and goats of various breeds and factions. Brought from various estates and farms for public display.
The festival also devoted one day to the elite auction for each of the three participating groups, namely: “Elite Arab Sheep, Elite Aradi Goat, and Elite Syrian Sheep “, where the Elite Auction will be held at seven in the evening on February 14th, 17th and 20th.
It is noteworthy that the Halal Qatar Festival, which is held in the southern side of Katara, opens its doors to the public during two periods: a morning period that lasts between nine in the morning and twelve in the afternoon, and an evening period that lasts between three in the afternoon and ten in the evening.

الدوحة: تنظم المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي /كتارا/ خلال الفترة ما بين 13 و21 فبراير القادم، النسخة العاشرة لمهرجان /حلال قطر/ 2021 والخاص بتربية الأغنام (الماعز والضأن)، حيث تشتمل النسخة القادمة التي تحتضنها الواجهة الجنوبية لـ /كتارا/ على ثلاث فعاليات رئيسية هي : “المزاد ومزاد النخبة والمزاين”، بالإضافة إلى الحظائر.
ويعد مهرجان /حلال قطر/ أحد أبرز المهرجانات التراثية التي تطلقها /كتارا/ على مستوى قطر ودول المنطقة، حيث يأتي المهرجان في إطار جهود المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي المتواصلة في إحياء تراث البادية والمحافظة على العادات والتقاليد الأصيلة المرتبطة به، عبر صورة حية تنبض بمختلف تفاصيل الحياة والبيئة البرية والصحراوية، كما يهدف الى توثيق وتأصيل العلاقة بين الماضي والحاضر، بالإضافة الى تعزيز هذا الإرث العريق في نفوس الأجيال الجديدة.
ويقدم المهرجان الذي تقيمه /كتارا/ للعام العاشر على التوالي، وسط مواصلة اتخاذ الاجراءات الاحترازية لمواجهة فيروس كورونا /كوفيد-19/ ، منصة مميزة للمربين لعرض واقتناء أفضل أنواع الحلال، وللتعريف بالجماليات والمميزات والمواصفات الموجودة في الأغنام والماعز، إلى جانب ما توفره هذه المنصة من أجواء المنافسة والتحفيز للمربين لتحسين الانتاج الحيواني، وتطوير الصناعات المرتبطة به، بالإضافة إلى الدور الثقافي والتربوي الذي يضطلع به المهرجان في مجال تعزيز الهوية الوطنية وترسيخها في نفوس الأجيال المعاصرة.
وفي هذا السياق، أعلنت اللجنة المنظمة لمهرجان /حلال قطر/ أن النسخة العاشرة للمهرجان تتميز بمشاركة خليجية متميزة، معربة عن سعادتها بهذه المشاركة المتمثلة بمشاركة نخبة من المربين وأصحاب الحلال من دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي في فعالية “المزاين”.
وأضافت أن النسخة القادمة تتضمن ثلاث فعاليات رئيسية هي : (المزاد والمزاين والحظائر)، موضحة أن الفترة ما بين 12 ظهرا و3 عصرا ستشهد تسليم الحلال المتنوع المشارك في المزاد اليومي الذي سيقام يوميا طيلة أيام المهرجان ويبدأ بعد صلاة العصر حتى آذان المغرب وبدون أن يتحمل المشارك تسديد أية رسوم.
وأشارت اللجنة المنظمة إلى أن فعالية “المزاين” ستستعرض أجمل أصناف الحلال ضمن معايير جمالية معينة يتم قياسها عن طريق لجان تحكيم متخصصة ، من خلال اقامة أشواط منوعة يشارك فيها أصحاب الحلال للمنافسة فيما بينهم مع رصد جوائز مالية للمراكز الخمسة الأولى، مشيرة إلى أن الفترة ما بين التاسعة والحادية عشرة صباحا ستشهد تسليم الحلال المشارك في “المزاين” وهي من ثلاث فئات :” الغنم العرب و الماعز العارضي و الغنم السورية “، كما تحتوي النسخة العاشرة لمهرجان حلال قطر على فعالية الحظائر التي تشتمل على عرض للأغنام والماعز من سلالات وفصائل متعددة الأنواع تم جلبها من العزب والمزارع المختلفة لغرض العرض على الجمهور.
كما خصص المهرجان لمزاد النخبة يوما واحدا لكل فئة من الفئات الثلاث المشاركة وهي : “نخبة الغنم العرب ونخبة الماعز العارضي ونخبة الغنم السورية “، حيث يقام مزاد النخبة في الساعة السابعة مساء من أيام 14 و17 و20 فبراير.
يشار إلى أن مهرجان /حلال قطر/ الذي يقام في الجهة الجنوبية لـ /كتارا/ ، يفتح أبوابه للجمهور خلال فترتين : صباحية تستمر بين الساعة التاسعة صباحا والثانية عشرة ظهرا ، ومسائية تستمر بين الساعة الثالثة عصرا والعاشرة مساء.
