Doha: Dr. Yousef Al-Maslamani, Medical Director of Hamad General Hospital, said that one of the benefits of vaccination against the Coronavirus, “Covid-19”, is that a person can travel and return without undergoing quarantine.
He explained during the Social Distance program on Qatar TV yesterday, Monday, in response to a question: Will returnees who took the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine be quarantined? So far, the Strategic Committee made no decision, (in this regard).
He added: But the obvious and principled thing is that we give the vaccination in order to say that the person who received the two doses and a week has passed after the second dose is a person immune to the virus who does not contract the disease and does not transmit it to others and does not suffer from symptoms and this is the ultimate goal of vaccination. This is one of the benefits of vaccination that a person can travel and return without a quarantine.
About some countries subjecting arrivals to a coronavirus examination, and does this mean that they do not recognize the anti-virus vaccination card?
“When you go to a country and get examined, this does not mean that they do not recognize the certificate (vaccinations) that you have, but to make sure the vaccinations are effective, and we will also do this, God willing, when people return, we will take a sample from them to ensure the efficacy of the vaccinations. But Regardless of the outcome, the final desired result of the spread of the vaccination is that there will be no quarantine”. Dr. Yusef Al-Maslamani said.
He pointed out that the country has agreed with the Coronavirus vaccine manufacturers so that the vaccines will arrive in Qatar during 2021, saying that within 2021 we will have a quantity of vaccines ready for all the people in Qatar.

الدوحة: قال الدكتور يوسف المسلماني المدير الطبي لمستشفى حمد العام إن من فوائد التطعيم ضد فيروس كورونا “كوفيد 19” هو أن يستطيع الإنسان السفر والعودة دون حجر.
وأوضح خلال برنامج المسافة الاجتماعية على تلفزيون قطر مساء يوم الإثنين رداً على سؤال: هل سيتم حجر العائدين من السفر الذين أخذوا الجرعة الثانية من فيروس كوفيد 19؟ أنه إلى الآن لا يوجد قرار من اللجنة الاستراتيجية، (بهذا الشأن).
وأضاف: لكن الشئ البديهي والمبدئي أننا نعطي التطعيم لكي نقول إن هذا الشخص الذي تلقى الجرعتين ومر عليه أسبوع بعد الجرعة الثانية هو إنسان محصن ضد الفيروس لا يُصاب بالمرض ولا ينقله إلى الآخرين ولا يعاني من الأعراض وهذا هو الهدف النهائي من التطعيم.. وهذه واحدة من فوائد التطعيم أن الإنسان يستطيع السفر والعودة دون حجر.
وحول قيام بعض الدول بإخضاع القادمين إليها لفحص كورونا وهل هذا يعني عدم اعترافهم ببطاقة التطعيم ضد الفيروس؟ قال الدكتور يوسف المسلماني: عندما تذهب إلى دولة وتجري فحصاً لك فهذا لا يعني عدم اعترافهم بشهادة (التطعيمات) التي لديك ولكن للتأكد من نجاعة التطعيمات، ونحن أيضاً سنقوم بهذا إن شاء الله لدى رجوع الناس سوف نأخذ منهم عينة للتأكد من نجاعة التطعيمات.. لكن بغض النظر عن النتيجة، فالنتيجة الهائية المرجوة من انتشار التطعيم أن لا يكون هناك حجر.
وأشار إلى أن الدولة اتفقت مع الشركات المصنعة للقاحات كورونا بحيث تصل اللقاحات إلى قطر خلال 2021، قائلاً إنه في غضون 2021 سيكون لدينا كمية من اللقاحات جاهزة لكل الشعب في قطر.
