QF Invites Youth to Participate in 4th Akhlaquna Award Session

Doha: Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development has invited young people in the State of Qatar to participate in the fourth session of its Akhlaquna Award, with the aim of broadening its reach and impact, and benefiting even more lives.
First announced by HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation (QF), in 2017, the Akhlaquna Award highlights the timeless and universal values exhibited by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that remain relevant and vital to people of all ages and cultures, and celebrates those whose actions and behaviors epitomize what the initiative stands for.
Qatari citizens and residents aged 15-24 can submit projects, either as individuals or teams, with the three shortlisted projects being voted on by the public as well as being assessed by a panel of jurors to determine the winner, which will be announced at a dedicated Akhlaquna Day ceremony later this year and supported by QF in order to amplify the positive impact it can bring to society.
Each year, young people who have developed projects rooted in exemplary moral character, and who inspire others through the example they set, are recognized through the award as it nurtures the behaviors essential to being a leader and a change-maker. Through its ethos and its message, Akhlaquna also nurtures behavioral change within wider society, heightening awareness of the interconnectivity between knowledge and morality.
President of Community Development at QF Machaille Hassan Al Naimi said, “Through Akhlaquna, we have already influenced the lives of thousands of people, empowering them to recognize how the values and behaviors they exhibit and live by benefit themselves and those around them.”
“They have become ambassadors for the morals and values that stand at the core of Akhlaquna, inspiring others to adopt, embrace, and exemplify them in their own daily lives. This is how Akhlaquna is serving as a vehicle for positive change within our society, as it promotes, instills, and catalyzes behaviors that make communities stronger, more unified, more tolerant, and more aware,” She added.
Al Naimi said, “The three cycles of Akhlaquna to date have illustrated how our innovative, creative, and socially-engaged youth are committed to leading this change and making a difference to their community, and to the world. As we enter the fourth cycle of this empowering initiative, we look forward to seeing the young people of Qatar come forward with their ideas for placing robust human values at the heart of society, and to the impact and benefit of Akhlaquna extending even further into peoples lives.”
Reflecting QF’s commitment to inspiring young people, and all members of society, to be active, aware, compassionate, and thoughtful citizens who improve people through their actions and mindsets, Akhlaquna highlights the enduring importance of values such as mercy, tolerance, honesty, and generosity. It aims to create a ripple effect that benefits not only the community of Qatar, but also the global community, through heightening recognition of what good moral character and behaviors make possible.
Since its launch, young people have submitted over 250 projects to Akhlaquna, with 70 of these coming in its third cycle.
The initiative has also provided tailored workshops to hundreds of youth, guiding and empowering them to establish their own humanitarian initiatives.
Its fourth cycle will unfold in a form that reflects the pandemic-affected times the world is living through, with at least the first half of its program taking place via virtual platforms.

الدوحة: دعت مؤسسة قطر للتربية والعلوم وتنمية المجتمع الشباب في دولة قطر للمشاركة في الدورة الرابعة من جائزة “أخلاقنا”، والتقدم بمشاريعهم الهادفة إلى إحداث التأثير الإيجابي في المجتمع.
تهدف جائزة “أخلاقنا”، التي أطلقتها صاحبة السمو الشيخة موزا بنت ناصر، رئيس مجلس إدارة مؤسسة قطر للتربية والعلوم وتنمية المجتمع، عام 2017، إلى تسليط الضوء على المشاريع التي تتبنى الأخلاق العالمية التي تحلى بها الرسول محمد (صلى الله عليه وسلم)، والتي تشكل مصدر إلهام للأفراد من مختلف الأعمار والثقافات في العالم، إضافة إلى الاحتفاء بمن تمثل أفعالهم وسلوكياتهم جوهر المبادرة.
ويحق لكل قطري ومقيم في دولة قطر، ممن تتراوح أعمارهم بين 15 و24 عاما، التقدم بالمشاريع لجائزة “أخلاقنا” إما كأفراد أو كمجموعات، ومن خلال تصويت الجمهور للمشاريع النهائية الثلاث وتقييمها من قبل لجنة التحكيم، سيتم الإعلان عن الفائز في حفل مخصص للجائزة في وقت لاحق من هذا العام.
وفي كل عام، يتم الاحتفاء بالشباب الذين ابتكروا مشاريع تتبنى الأخلاق الحميدة، ليكونوا قدوة ومصدر إلهام للآخرين بأفكارهم التي يقدمونها من خلال الجائزة، باعتبارها تعزز السلوكيات الأساسية ليكونوا قادة وصناعا للتغيير، عبر قيمها ورسالتها. بالإضافة إلى الدور الذي تلعبه الجائزة في إحداث التغيير السلوكي داخل المجتمع الأوسع، مما يزيد الوعي بالارتباط الوثيق بين العلم والأخلاق الحميدة.
وفي هذا السياق ، قالت السيدة مشاعل حسن النعيمي، رئيس تنمية المجتمع بمؤسسة قطر، إن جائزة أخلاقنا، تركت أثرا إيجابيا في حياة آلاف الأفراد، ومكنتهم من إدراك أهمية القيم والسلوكيات التي يمثلونها ويلتزمون بها بالنسبة لهم وللآخرين من حولهم.
وأضافت أن الذين فازوا بالجائزة خلال الدورات السابقة أصبحوا سفراء للقيم الإيجابية والأخلاق الحميدة التي تقع في صميم جائزة أخلاقنا، ومصدر إلهام للآخرين لتبني تلك الأخلاقيات وتجسيدها في حياتهم اليومية. وبهذا تكون جائزة أخلاقنا وسيلة لإحداث التغيير الإيجابي في المجتمع، إذ تغرس السلوكيات التي تعزز قوة المجتمعات وتماسكها، وتجعلها أكثر تسامحا ووعيا.
وتابعت النعيمي بأن جائزة أخلاقنا أكدت في دوراتها الثلاث السابقة قدرة الشباب على الإبداع والابتكار والمشاركة المجتمعية، والتزامهم بقيادة هذا التغيير وإحداث فرق إيجابي في مجتمعهم والعالم بأسره.
وأعربت عن تطلعها إلى التعرف على الأفكار الخلاقة التي يقدمها الشباب القطري من أجل إرساء قيم إنسانية راسخة في قلب المجتمع، مع إطلاق الدورة الرابعة من هذه المبادرة الرائدة، وامتداد تأثير جائزة أخلاقنا وفوائدها على حياة الناس.
وتسلط جائزة أخلاقنا الضوء على أهمية القيم الحميدة، مثل الرحمة، التسامح، الصدق، والكرم من أجل إنشاء تأثير مضاعف يعود بالفائدة على المجتمع القطري والمجتمع العالمي وإبراز الشخصية الأخلاقية والسلوكيات الحميدة.
ومنذ إطلاقها، قدم الشباب أكثر من 250 مشروعا إلى مبادرة أخلاقنا، 70 منها في دورتها الثالثة، كما قدمت المبادرة ورش عمل مخصصة لمئات الشباب، لتوجيههم وتمكينهم من إنشاء مبادراتهم الإنسانية.
وستعكس الدورة الرابعة للجائزة المرحلة الزمنية المتأثرة بالوباء التي يعيشها العالم، حيث سيتم تنفيذ النصف الأول على الأقل من برنامج الجائزة عبر منصات افتراضية.
