Opportunities for distance student employment at the university

Doha: The Center for Professional Development at Qatar University has announced the opening of enrollment in the student employment program for the spring of 2021, for a period of one month during the self-service system “Banner” electronically.

The student employment program requires the student to pass 24 hours of earned time and the cumulative rate should not be less than 2.5 and the student must pass the training workshop for the student employment program successfully.

The Center pointed out that in line with the precautionary measures adopted at Qatar University, the majority of opportunities for hiring students are remote employment, and there is a very limited number that requires their presence on campus and departments that are in dire need of the presence of their employees, while fully complying with all strict precautionary requirements to ensure the safety of everyone at the university.

The student recruitment program aims to recruit students during their studies at Qatar University, as well as to enhance educational expertise while providing services to the Qatar University community, where by working on campus, students acquire skills that can enhance their ability to work, and use them in career choice. The recruitment of students also provides temporary assistance to departments and colleges during periods when additional office support is required.

The majority of opportunities for student employment focus on the student affairs sector and the departments under which it falls, students are selected based on their skills and the needs of the departments are coordinated with the skills of students and their employment. One of the conditions for admission to the student employment program is that the student passes the career excellence workshop, which is a prerequisite for student employment and this workshop seeks to prepare the student on the basics of work so that he can start his work as an employee at Qatar University.

الدوحة: أعلن مركز التطوير المهني بجامعة قطر عن فتح باب التسجيل في برنامج التوظيف الطلابي للفصل الدراسي ربيع 2021، ولمدة شهر خلال نظام الخدمة الذاتية «بانر» إلكترونيًا.

ويشترط في برنامج التوظيف الطلابي أن يكون الطالب قد اجتاز 24 ساعة مكتسبة وألا يقل معدله التراكمي عن 2.5 ويشترط أن يجتاز الطالب الورشة التدريبية الخاصة ببرنامج التوظيف الطلابي بنجاح.وأشار المركز إلى أنه تماشيًا مع الإجراءات الاحترازية المتبعة في جامعة قطر فإن غالبية الفرص المتاحة لتوظيف الطلاب هي فرص عمل عن بُعد، وهناك عدد محدود للغاية يتطلب تواجدهم بالحرم الجامعي وبالإدارات التي بحاجة ماسة لتواجد العاملين لديها، مع الالتزام الكامل بكافة الشروط الاحترازية المشددة لضمان سلامة الجميع في الجامعة.

ويهدف برنامج التوظيف الطلابي إلى توظيف الطلاب والطالبات خلال فترة الدراسة في جامعة قطر، بالإضافة إلى تعزيز الخبرات التعليمية مع توفير الخدمات اللازمة لمجتمع جامعة قطر، حيث يكتسب الطلاب من خلال العمل في الحرم الجامعي المهارات التي يمكن أن تعزز من قدرتهم على العمل، والاستفادة منها في اختيار المجال الوظيفي. كما أن توظيف الطلاب يقدم المساعدة المؤقتة للإدارات والكليات خلال الفترات التي تحتاج فيها إلى دعم إضافي للمكاتب.

وتركز غالبية الفرص المتاحة للتوظيف الطلابي على قطاع شؤون الطلاب والإدارات التي تندرج تحته، ويتم اختيار الطلاب بناء على مهاراتهم ويتم التنسيق بين احتياجات الأقسام وبين مهارات الطلاب وتوظيفهم .ومن شروط القبول في برنامج التوظيف الطلابي أن يجتاز الطالب ورشة التميّز الوظيفي التي تعد شرطًا أساسيًا لتوظيف الطالب وهذه الورشة تسعى لإعداد الطالب حول أساسيات العمل حتى يباشر عمله كموظف في جامعة قطر.
