New Delhi: Bird flu is spreading rapidly across India, with seven states confirming cases, while states await test results, while measures have been put in place to contain the virus, officials say. Uttar Pradesh was the latest state to record cases of the virus, with a zoo in Kanpur city closed following the deaths of four birds and two parrots. Kanor R.P. Mishra, chief veterinary officer in the Kanor region, said the test results proved positive for the animals.

نيودلهي: قال مسؤولون إن إنفلونزا الطيور تتفشى بصورة سريعة في أنحاء الهند، حيث أكدت سبع ولايات وجود حالات إصابة، في حين تنتظر ولايات نتائج الاختبارات، في الوقت الذي فرضت فيه إجراءات لاحتواء الفيروس. وكانت ولاية أوتار براديش أحدث ولاية تسجل حالات إصابة بالفيروس، حيث تم إغلاق حديقة حيوانات في مدينة كانبور عقب نفوق أربعة من الطيور واثنين من الببغاوات. وقال كبير المسؤولين البيطريين في منطقة كانور ار بي ميشرا إن نتائج الاختبارات أثبتت إيجابية إصابة الحيوانات بالفيروس.
