Qatar Credit Bureau Receives BIZZ Award from World Confederation of Businesses

Doha: HE CEO of Qatar Credit Bureau Sheikha Maryam bint Khalifa Al-Thani received on Sunday the BIZZ Award from the World Confederation of Businesses (WORLDCOB), which is a business association based in Houston, USA.

Her Excellency underscored that receiving such an award is a testimony from the World Confederation of Businesses for the teamwork spirit of the bureau’s staff and its professionalism and confidence. Her Excellency expressed her gratitude to all those who contributed with their efforts and work to make of the bureau a model for success and excellence.

On this occasion, the CEO and co-founder of WORLDCOB, Jesus Moran, said that the Qatar Credit Bureau achieved a perfect score in the confederation’s evaluation, which clearly proves the bureau’s commitment to excellence in all aspects of its operations, therefore, it deserved one of the most distinguished business awards worldwide.

He emphasized that the bureau, which was established under the umbrella of the Qatar Central Bank, has become the backbone of the Qatari financial infrastructure. He also added that it developed new criteria for credit information systems in Qatar, the Arab region and the Gulf Cooperation Council states, pointing out that it adopted an approach of introducing optimal developments in digitalization and Fintech enabling.

He noted that the bureau’s expansion in the credit sector, information exchange and innovation reflect its operational excellence, clarifying that these achievements are not just milestones in the bureau’s functioning, but an indication that its services and products in this field are acknowledged.

For his side, Director of the Quality and Control Department at Qatar Credit Bureau Mohammed Arhama Al Kuwari mentioned that this valuable and prestigious award means a lot to the bureau and represents, at the same time, a challenge for its employees to preserve the achievements gained in the recent years as well as avoiding mistakes.

He revealed that the bureau adopted a number of novel systems to improve performance, such as the requirement of obtaining an official license by any company in the financial technology sector providing financial technology services (BNPL, crowdfunding and eKYC), mentioning that all financial technology companies will benefit from the bureau’s innovative products in the provision of financial technology.

Moreover, he declared that the new website of the bureau is going to be launched soon, by next week. The website is rearranged and updated with a new design and content.

The WORLDCOB, which was established in 2004 in Houston, is one of the world business organizations that works on supporting companies and associations and expanding their capabilities.
The confederation offers, through its activities celebrating institutional excellence, a number of awards such as Worldcob CSR, BIZ, WTS and BIZ Events.

الدوحة: تسلمت سعادة الشيخة مريم بنت خليفة آل ثاني الرئيس التنفيذي لمركز قطر للمعلومات الائتمانية، اليوم، جائزة THE BIZZ AWARD من الاتحاد العالمي للأعمال، وهو مؤسسة للأعمال يقع مقرها في مدينة هيوستن بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.

وأكدت سعادة الرئيس التنفيذي لمركز قطر للمعلومات الائتمانية بهذه المناسبة أن تسلم هذه الجائزة هو شهادة من الاتحاد العالمي للأعمال على العمل الجماعي الذي يتحلى به طاقم المركز، ويعكس في الوقت نفسه الاحترافية والثقة اللتين يتميز بهما، معربة عن شكرها لكل من ساهم بجهده وعمله لجعل مركز قطر للمعلومات الائتمانية نموذجا للتميز والنجاح.

من جهته، قال السيد جيسوس موران مؤسس ورئيس الاتحاد العالمي للأعمال، في كلمة بالمناسبة،: إن مركز قطر للمعلومات الائتمانية حقق درجة مثالية في تقييم الاتحاد وهو ما يدل بوضوح على التزامه بالتميز في جميع جوانب عملياته، وبذلك استحق واحدة من أهم جوائز التميز في الأعمال في العالم.

وأكد أن المركز الذي تأسس تحت رعاية مصرف قطر المركزي، أصبح حجر الزاوية في البنية التحتية المالية في قطر، حيث وضع معايير جديدة في نظام المعلومات الائتمانية في كل من قطر والمنطقة العربية ودول مجلس التعاون الخليجي، مشيرا إلى التطورات المثالية في التحول الرقمي وتمكين التكنولوجيا المالية التي ينتهجها.

ولفت إلى أن توسيع المركز خدماته في مجال الائتمان، وتبادل المعلومات والابتكار، يعكس تميزه التشغيلي، مبينا أن هذه الإنجازات ليست مجرد معالم بارزة في مسيرة المركز بل علامات على الاعتراف الذي تكتسبه خدماته والمنتجات التي يقدمها في هذا المجال.

وأبرز في هذا الصدد، تفاني موظفيه في مجالات المسؤولية الاجتماعية، والحفاظ على الشفافية، وحماية خصوصية البيانات، إلى جانب التزامهم ببيئة عمل محترمة ومتوازنة، مما يؤكد على نهج الاتحاد للتميز في الأعمال.

من جانبه، قال السيد محمد أرحمه الكواري نائب الرئيس التنفيذي لمركز قطر للمعلومات الائتمانية، إن هذه الجائزة القيمة والمرموقة تعني الكثير بالنسبة للمركز، وتخلق في الوقت نفسه تحديا للعاملين فيه للحفاظ على الإنجازات التي تمت في السنوات الأخيرة وتجنب الأخطاء.

وكشف عن تبني المركز عددا من الأنظمة الجديدة لتطوير الأداء، من بينها أنه بات يشترط رسميا ترخيص أي شركة في مجال التكنولوجيا المالية لتقديم خدمات التكنولوجيا المالية (BNPL، والتمويل الجماعي وeKYC)‏، لافتا إلى أن جميع شركات التكنولوجيا المالية ستستفيد من منتجات المركز المبتكرة لتوفير خدمات التكنولوجيا المالية.

كما أعلن عن قرب إطلاق الموقع الإلكتروني الجديد للمركز، وذلك بحلول الأسبوع المقبل، حيث تم تجديد موقع الويب بتصميم جديد ومحتوى محدث وأقسام معاد تنظيمها.

يشار إلى أن الاتحاد العالمي للأعمال الذي تأسس في عام 2004 بمدينة هيوستن الأمريكية، هو واحد من بين منظمات الأعمال في العالم، ويعمل على دعم المؤسسات والشركات وتوسيع إمكاناتها.
