Three more health centres added for Covid-19 vaccination

Doha: Covid-19 vaccines will be administered at three more health centres, in addition to the seven that were initially announced, said Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) officials. 

Dr Mariam Ali Abdulmalik, PHCC Managing Director, said that Covid-19 vaccines will be made available at Qatar University, Al Waab and Al Khor health centres too, adding that eventually all health centres in the country will have the vaccine. 

Qatar began to administer the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine from December 23 at seven primary health centres – Al Wajba Health Centre, Leabaib Health Center, Al Ruwais Health Center, Umm Slal Health Center, Rawdat Al Khail Health Center, Al Thumama Health Center and Muaither Health Center.

Almost ten percent of the target group has already been vaccinated said Dr Abdulmalik and hoped that in the coming months the entire country will be covered as more and more people clear their doubts and queries.

الدوحة: قال مسؤولون في مؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية إن لقاحات “كوفيد-19” ستُعطى في ثلاثة مراكز صحية إضافية، إلى جانب المراكز السبعة التي أُعلن عنها في البداية. 

وقالت الدكتورة مريم علي عبد الملك، مدير عام مؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية، إن لقاحات “كوفيد-19” ستتاح في مراكز الصحة بجامعة قطر والوعب والخور، مضيفة أنه في نهاية المطاف ستتوفر اللقاحات في جميع المراكز الصحية في البلاد. 

بدأت قطر بتقديم لقاح فايزر-بيونتيك اعتباراً من 23 ديسمبر في سبعة مراكز صحية أولية – مركز الوجبة الصحي، مركز ليبيب الصحي، مركز الرويس الصحي، مركز أم صلال الصحي، مركز روضة الخيل الصحي، مركز الثمامة الصحي ومركز معيذر الصحي.

وقالت الدكتورة عبد الملك إن ما يقرب من 10 في المائة من المجموعة المستهدفة تم تطعيمها بالفعل، وأعربت عن أملها في أن تتم تغطية البلاد بأكملها في الأشهر المقبلة مع الإجابة عن المزيد والمزيد من شكوك الناس وتساؤلاتهم.
