Weekly Mahaseel Market to begin on January 7

Doha: The fifth edition of the Mahaseel Festival yesterday concluded its activities in the southern part of Katara allowing Mahaseel Market to start operation from January 7 for three days in a week (Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays).
Mahaseel Market will open from 9am to 9pm on Thursday and Saturday and from 1pm to 9pm on Friday until March end 2021, said Katara in a statement.
The Mahaseel Festival, in its fifth edition achieved great success by attracting Qatari farms and national companies specialised in agricultural production. The festival opened new horizons to encourage agricultural investment and support food production projects with the aim of achieving self-sufficiency.
The fifth edition of the festival witnessed increased participation by farmers, apiaries and specialised local companies with agricultural production and livestock.
A total of 28 Qatari farms participated in the festival that displayed many varieties of fresh vegetables and honey, in addition to the pavilions of nine specialized national companies that highlighted national products of fresh agricultural and food crops.
The Festival also received participation of eight nurseries which offered flowers, roses and ornamental plants.
The fifth edition of the Mahaseel Festival was also distinguished by the diversity of its exhibitors, products and the multiplicity of its wings, in addition to its good preparation, organisation and services.
On the other hand, Mahaseel Market will held its activity on the southern part of Katara, starting from January 7, (Thursday to Saturday from 9am to 9pm and from 1pm to 9pm on Friday. The Mahaseel Market will continue until the end of March.
The market will exhibit various types of fresh local products such as vegetables, agricultural produce, flowers, ornamental plants, and food products related to livestock, in addition to the finest natural honey produced by Qatari farms and the best varieties of local dates, with the participation of major farms and national companies specialised in production and sale of sheep and poultry meat, eggs, milk and its derivatives, and natural juices.
The market’s resumption of its activities comes within the framework of the efforts of the Cultural Village Foundation Katara to support the agricultural and livestock sector and encourage Qatari farm owners and its interest in marketing local products.

وقالت كتارا في بيان إن سوق محاصيل سيفتتح من الساعة 9 صباحًا إلى 9 مساءً يومي الخميس والسبت ومن الساعة 1 ظهرًا حتى الساعة 9 مساءً يوم الجمعة إلى نهاية مارس 2021.
حقق مهرجان محاصيل في دورته الخامسة نجاحاً كبيراً من خلال استقطاب المزارع القطرية والشركات الوطنية المتخصصة في الإنتاج الزراعي. وقد فتح المهرجان آفاقاً جديدة لتشجيع الاستثمار الزراعي ودعم مشاريع الإنتاج الغذائي بهدف تحقيق الاكتفاء الذاتي.
وشهدت الدورة الخامسة من المهرجان زيادة مشاركة المزارعين والأهالي والشركات المحلية المتخصصة في الإنتاج الزراعي والثروة الحيوانية.
وقد شارك في المهرجان ما مجموعه 28 مزرعة قطرية عرضت العديد من أصناف الخضار الطازجة والعسل، بالإضافة إلى أجنحة تسع شركات وطنية متخصصة سلطت الضوء على المنتجات الوطنية من المحاصيل الزراعية والغذائية الطازجة.
كما شارك في المهرجان 8 مشاتل قدمت الزهور والورود ونباتات الزينة.
كما تميزت الدورة الخامسة من مهرجان محاصيل بتنوع العارضين والمنتجات وتعدد أجنحتها، بالإضافة إلى حسن إعدادها وتنظيمها وخدماتها.
من ناحية أخرى، سيقيم سوق محاصيل نشاطه في الجزء الجنوبي من كتارا، ابتداءً من 7 يناير، (الخميس و السبت من الساعة 9 صباحاً إلى 9 مساءً، ومن الساعة 1 ظهراً إلى 9 مساءً يوم الجمعة. وسيستمر سوق محاصيل حتى نهاية مارس.
يعرض السوق أنواعاً مختلفة من المنتجات المحلية الطازجة مثل الخضروات والمنتجات الزراعية والزهور ونباتات الزينة والمنتجات الغذائية المتعلقة بالماشية، بالإضافة إلى أجود أنواع العسل الطبيعي الذي تنتجه المزارع القطرية وأفضل أصناف التمور المحلية، بمشاركة كبرى المزارع والشركات الوطنية المتخصصة في إنتاج وبيع لحوم الأغنام والدواجن البيض والحليب ومشتقاته والعصائر الطبيعية.
ويأتي استئناف السوق لأنشطته في إطار جهود مؤسسة القرية الثقافية كتارا لدعم القطاع الزراعي والحيواني وتشجيع أصحاب المزارع القطرية واهتمامها بتسويق المنتجات المحلية.
