Ooredoo team delights patients with gifts and fun-filled activities at Sidra

Doha: The team of volunteers of Ooredoo paid a surprise visit to Sidra Medicine’s inpatient hospital as part of its ongoing Ramadan CSR activity schedule.
The team spent time with the young patients at Sidra Medicine, engaging them in storytelling and colouring activities, and surprised them with gifts and gift vouchers.
Children also had the opportunity to take photos with hospital staff and Ooredoo volunteers, and the teams of volunteers thanked the staff for all their efforts in looking after their young patients throughout the year. Manar Khalifa Al Muraikhi, Director PR and Corporate Communications at Ooredoo, said: “A key focus of our corporate social responsibility schedule is supporting the communities in which we operate, and Ramadan is the ideal time for us to plan and carry out activities that demonstrate our support in practical ways. We know, spending time in hospital can be difficult and stressful for many of us, especially children, so we were delighted to be able to visit young patients at Sidra Medicine and hopefully bring a little cheer to their day.”
Khalid Al Mohannadi, Executive Director of Communications and Marketing at Sidra Medicine, said: “As a patient and family centred healthcare organisation, Sidra Medicine is delighted to welcome organisations like Ooredoo. We thank them for their thoughtful gifts and activities that brought smiles to our little patients faces. Our engagement is part of an ongoing patient experience programme to make our patient’s time with us as pleasant and comfortable as possible.”
Ooredoo will be continuing its schedule of CSR activities until the end of Ramadan and Eid.
أعلنت «ooredoo» أن فريقاً من متطوعي الشركة قام بزيارة للمرضى من الأطفال في مستشفى سدرة، وذلك ضمن إطار مبادرات المسؤولية الاجتماعية للشركة خلال شهر رمضان المبارك.
وقد تضمنت الزيارة إقامة عدد من الأنشطة مع الأطفال هناك، مثل التلوين، وقراءة القصص، وتقديم الهدايا والقسائم المجانية. كما أتيحت الفرصة للأطفال لالتقاط الصور مع فريق متطوعي «ooredoo» وموظفي المستشفى، وقدم فريق «ooredoo» الشكر للموظفين على جهودهم في رعاية المرضى من الأطفال على مدار العام.
وحول هذه الزيارة، قالت منار خليفة المريخي، مديرة إدارة العلاقات العامة واتصالات الشركة في «ooredoo قطر»: «نواصل مبادراتنا المجتمعية خلال شهر رمضان، انطلاقاً من حرصنا على دعم المجتمع وأفراده، ونشر روح المحبة والتواصل في المجتمع خلال الشهر الفضيل. في هذه المرة قمنا بزيارة للأطفال في مستشفى سدرة، وحرصنا على أن ندخل الفرح إليهم، ونرسم البسمة على وجوههم، من خلال توزيع الهدايا، ومشاركتهم عدداً من الأنشطة الترفيهية».
