The most prominent decisions of the weekly cabinet meeting

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired Wednesday the cabinet’s regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan.

Following the meeting, HE Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi said the following statement:

At the beginning of the meeting, the Cabinet congratulated HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the people of the State of Qatar on the occasion of the National Day, recalling with pride and appreciation, the efforts of the founder Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammad bin Thani and his historical role in establishing the State of Qatar, and all sincere efforts that contributed to the renaissance of the state, preserving its sovereignty and gains and protecting its independence. The cabinet expresses its pride in what the country has achieved internally and the distinguished position it gained abroad, thanks to the wise policy of HH the Emir and the solidarity of the people of Qatar.

The cabinet listened to the explanation provided by HE Minister of Public Health on the latest developments to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), and the council affirmed the continuation of work with regard to the precautionary measures that have been taken in order to combat this pandemic.

After that, the Council considered the topics on the agenda as follows:

First, the cabinet approved a draft law to amend some Commercial Companies Law provisions, Law No. (11) of 2015, and to refer it to the Shura Council.

Second, the cabinet approved the proposal of the Minister of the Interior to nominate its representatives in the membership of the Military Retirement Committee.

Third, the approval of:

1- A draft MoU on strategic dialogue between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Italy.

2- A draft MoU for cooperation in the field of sports between the governments of the State of Qatar and the Kyrgyz Republic.

Fourth, the cabinet reviewed the following topics and took the appropriate decisions:

1- Results of the Fifth Special Session of the Executive Board of the World Health Organization(WHO).

2- Results of the (36) session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC).

الدوحة: ترأس معالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني، رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية، الاجتماع العادي الذي عقده المجلس ظهر يوم الأمس بمقره في الديوان الأميري.

وعقب الاجتماع أدلى سعادة الدكتور عيسى بن سعد الجفالي النعيمي وزير العدل والقائم بأعمال وزير الدولة لشؤون مجلس الوزراء، بما يلي:

في بداية الاجتماع رفع مجلس الوزراء أسمى آيات التهاني والتبريكات إلى مقام حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى “حفظه الله ورعاه “، بمناسبة ذكرى اليوم الوطني للدولة، وقدم التهنئة للشعب القطري الكريم بهذه المناسبة المجيدة.

وإذ يستذكر المجلس، بكل الفخر والتقدير، جهود المؤسس الشيخ جاسم بن محمد بن ثاني، طيب الله ثراه، ودوره التاريخي في تأسيس دولة قطر، وكل الجهود المخلصة التي أسهمت في نهضة الدولة والحفاظ على سيادتها ومكتسباتها وحماية استقلالها، فإنه يعرب عن اعتزازه بما حققته البلاد من انجازات كبرى في الداخل ومكانة متميزة في الخارج، بفضل السياسة الحكيمة لحضرة صاحب السمو أمير البلاد المفدى، وبتكاتف أبناء الوطن والتفافهم حول قيادتهم الرشيدة.

ثم استمع مجلس الوزراء إلى الشرح الذي قدمه سعادة وزير الصحة العامة حول آخر المستجدات والتطورات للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا /كوفيد-19/، وأكد المجلس على استمرار العمل بما تم اتخاذه من إجراءات وتدابير احترازية في سبيل مكافحة هذا الوباء.

وبعد ذلك نظر مجلس الوزراء في الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال على النحو التالي:

أولا- الموافقة على مشروع قانون بتعديل بعض أحكام قانون الشركات التجارية الصادر بالقانون رقم (11) لسنة 2015، وعلى إحالته إلى مجلس الشورى.

ثانيا- الموافقة على اقتراح وزارة الداخلية بتسمية ممثلين لها في عضوية لجنة التقاعد العسكري.

ثالثا- الموافقة على:

1- مشروع مذكرة تفاهم بشأن الحوار الاستراتيجي بين وزارة الخارجية بدولة قطر ووزارة الشؤون الخارجية والتعاون الدولي بجمهورية إيطاليا.

2- مشروع مذكرة تفاهم للتعاون في مجال الرياضة بين حكومة دولة قطر وحكومة الجمهورية القيرغيزية.

رابعا- استعرض مجلس الوزراء الموضوعين التاليين واتخذ بشأنهما القرار المناسب:

1- نتائج الدورة الاستثنائية الخامسة للمجلس التنفيذي لمنظمة الصحة العالمية.

2- نتائج الدورة (36) للجنة الدائمة للتعاون الاقتصادي والتجاري التابعة لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي /الكومسيك/.
