QFA Hands Over Final Part of AFC Asian Cup 2027 Bid File

Doha: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) has handed over the fourth and final part of the AFC Asian Cup 2027 bid file. The 20 original bid book documents were handed over by HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Malaysia Fahd bin Mohammed Kafoud.
This concluding part of the file – handed over according to the schedule approved by the AFC – includes all obligations sought by the Asian football body. The last step is a confirmation from the QFA of its commitment to fulfilling all hosting requirements, following the schedule approved by the AFC. It coincides with the celebrations of Qatar National Day which is marked on Dec. 18 every year.
QFA remains confident that – in line with its endeavor to organize the tournament according to the highest international standards – the AFC Asian Cup 2027 will become one of the many top sports events the country has staged, should hosting rights be awarded to the QFA. Major AFC tournaments already held in Qatar include the AFC Asian Cup 1988 and 2011 editions, as well as the AFC Champions League matches of the West Zone and the East Zone in 2020.
HE President of Qatar Football Association Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani said: “Qatar will be ready to host the nineteenth edition of the Asian Cup for national teams, taking advantage of the modern sports facilities that will stage the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 matches. Qatar is keen to leave a lasting legacy for the Asian football family by delivering a memorable AFC Asian Cup in 2027. Creating a sports legacy that benefits future generations is part of the 2030 Qatar National Vision.”
He added: “Qatar is currently working on preparations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 by developing state-of-the-art infrastructure, including a major-road network to connect the entire country and a significant expansion in the number of hotel rooms. The Metro service is already in use, helping hundreds of thousands of professionals commute between their home and workplace. The final part of our bid file shows that Qatar is determined to stage the AFC Asian Cup 2027 in a manner that reflects the high standards we uphold when staging top international sports events on our soil. The AFC Asian Cup 2027 will be no exception.”
“We have worked tirelessly to prepare a comprehensive bid file that meets all hosting criteria through coordination with all authorities in the country. We extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the authorities for the efforts they have made in preparing this bid file. We look forward to working with them as we look to secure the rights to host the AFC Asian Cup 2027, God willing.”
It is worth noting that the QFA handed over the first part of its bid file on 26 August, underlining its desire to host Asia’s biggest national team event, followed by the second part covering legal requirements on 29 October, and the third part showcasing the government guarantee requirements on 26 November.

الدوحة: سلّم الاتحاد القطري لكرة القدم، عبر سعادة السيد فهد بن محمد كافود سفير الدولة لدى ماليزيا، الجزء الرابع والأخير من ملف استضافة كأس آسيا 2027 لكرة القدم ، والذي يتضمن كافة المتطلبات الخاصة بشروط الاستضافة، وفقاً للجدول الزمني المعتمد من قبل الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم، وذلك تزامناً مع الاحتفال باليوم الوطني للدولة، والذي يوافق الثامن عشر من شهر ديسمبر من كل عام.
وقال الاتحاد القطري لكرة القدم في بيان له يوم الأمس بهذه المناسبة ، ان هذه الخطوة تؤكد أن الاتحاد القطري لكرة القدم ملتزم بتلبية جميع متطلبات الاستضافة بحسب الجدول الزمني المعتمد من قبل الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم، وبما ينسجم مع شروط الاستضافة ومعاييرها.
واشار البيان الى ان الاتحاد قد استفاد في سعيه لتنظيم البطولة وفق أعلى المعايير العالمية، من خبراته المتراكمة، ورصيده التنظيمي الهائل، لاسيما ما تضمنه من بطولات آسيوية أقيمت مؤخراً، كمباريات دوري أبطال آسيا 2020 لمنطقتي الغرب والشرق، والمباراة النهائية للنسخة ذاتها والتي ستقام في التاسع عشر من الشهر الجاري.
وأكد سعادة الشيخ حمد بن خليفة بن أحمد آل ثاني رئيس الاتحاد القطري لكرة القدم في تصريح له بهذه المناسبة، ان قطر ستكون جاهزة لتنظيم بطولة كأس آسيا في نسختها الـ 19، مستفيدة من المنشآت الرياضية الحديثة التي ستستضيف بطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022 ?، والتي تزخر بها الدولة وتُعد إرثاً للأجيال القادمة من أبناء القارة الآسيوية، هذا بالإضافة إلى الجاهزية الكاملة للمشروعات المرتبطة بكأس العالم، من البنية التحتية مثل شبكات الطرق والمرافق المتعددة، وقطاع الضيافة مثل الفنادق بكافة مستوياتها، ووسائل النقل – بما فيها المترو- التي ستكون متاحة للجميع بدون استثناء، وغيرها من المشروعات العملاقة والخدمات المتميزة التي تضمنها?ملف الاستضافة، والتي تنسجم بكليتها مع رؤية الدولة 2030.
وأضاف “لقد عملنا خلال الفترة الماضية على تجهيز ملف متكامل يلبي جميع معايير الاستضافة من خلال التنسيق مع كافة الجهات المسؤولة في الدولة، والتي نتقدم لها بخالص شكرنا وتقديرنا على جهودها المبذولة في التجهيز لهذا الملف”.
وتابع سعادته “نتطلع جميعاً للعمل سوياً على استضافة بطولة كأس آسيا 2027 في قطر، وفق أعلى المستويات التنظيمية العالمية، مرتكزين على رصيدنا التنظيمي الحافل، وواضعين نصب أعيننا الهدف الأسمى، وهو توفير إرث رياضي مستدام لأجيال القارة الآسيوية”.
وكان الاتحاد القطري لكرة القدم قد سلم الجزء الأول من الملف في السادس والعشرين من أغسطس الماضي، والجزء الثاني الذي تضمن المتطلبات القانونية، في التاسع والعشرين من أكتوبر الماضي ، بينما تم تسليم الجزء الثالث المتعلق بمتطلبات الضمان الحكومي في السادس والعشرين من شهر نوفمبر الماضي، حيث تضمنت جميعها متطلبات شروط الاستضافة، معزَزةً بإرث دولة قطر الحافل في استضافة البطولات والأحداث الرياضية القارية والعالمية.
