National Day Embodies Meanings of Unity among People

Doha: In their editorials on Sunday Qatari newspapers said that the National Day of the State of Qatar, which celebrated annually on Dec. 18, is an occasion that shows the bond between the citizens and the wise leadership that puts its peoples interests above all other, and an opportunity to embody the meanings of unity and solidarity.

The newspapers referred in this regard to HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani’s affirmation that that the National Day of the State of Qatar is an important day in the memory of citizens, as it reflects the values of unity between citizens and carries great significance in the hearts and minds of all citizens and residents of the country, and a historic occasion of when the founder of the state Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani placed the foundation for establishing the State of Qatar.

Al-Sharq newspaper noted that the National Day embodies the meanings of unity, solidarity and loyalty between the people of the State of Qatar, and that this historic day is a great occasion to recall the founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, who laid the foundation of the State.

The paper added that the National Day also embodies the meanings of patriotism and the principles of freedom and sovereignty, and reflects the bond between the citizens and the wise leadership that puts its peoples interests above all other.

The paper emphasized that the State of Qatar, thanks to its wise leadership, has made achievements in all fields, and has faced all challenges with ability, pointing out that this stems from a wise vision and the pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030.

The State of Qatar, the paper said, enjoys security and stability, as it took the lead in many international indicators concerned with monitoring security and stability in the world.

Qatar has achieved a social, cultural, sports, civilizational and legislative renaissance through the optimal use of resources and wealth, especially the human element, and has emerged on the regional and international arenas for its success in humanitarian diplomacy and as a reliable mediator in resolving international conflicts, as well as for its response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the paper said.

Al-Sharq concluded that the march of achievements and renaissance continues to promote development and progress for the country and citizens.

For its part, daily newspaper Al-Raya highlighted in its Sunday editorial HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior’s assertion that the National Day represents great symbolism and embodies unity and sincere brotherhood, which stems from the fact that celebrating this national occasion, which falls on Dec. 18 annually, carries sublime connotations and meanings in the minds and hearts of all citizens and expatriates residing in Qatar, pointing out this is a historic occasion of when the founder of the state Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani placed the foundation for establishing the State of Qatar.

The National Day is a solemn and sublime event of remembrance and embodies citizens’ association with the wise leadership that has kept the interest of the State and citizens above all else, Al-Raya underlined, adding that celebrating the National Day constitutes a great opportunity to affirm national sentiments, reinforce the values entrenched in Qatari society and stimulate the current generation to continue the steps towards pride and comprehensive renaissance on the path of the founder.

According to a wise and incisive vision under the leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Qatar is moving to achieve its goals and promote development and progress for the country and the citizens, the newspaper pointed out, noting that the State has taken important steps in implementing infrastructure projects, as well as developing and updating them according to the latest global systems through action plans and programs that prioritize the completion of tasks with the required sufficiency, which included various health, educational, economic, social and other fields.

Al-Raya emphasized that Qatari people have the right to celebrate the National Day and to be inspired by the lessons of its founder in order to benefit them in building the modern State. The National Day is of great moral significance and carries many of the sublime and entrenched meanings in the heart and mind of everyone who lives on the land of Qatar, which represents an incentive for the Qatari people to draw inspiration and lessons to embody the meanings of unity and solidarity, the paper added.

Al-Raya concluded its editorial by emphasizing that the Qatari people, by celebrating the National Day, are inspired by the founder’s wisdom, insight and famous words as a method and guiding principle in the process of construction and progress, sustainable development and comprehensive renaissance. 

In turn, Al-Watan daily newspaper hailed HH Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani’s assertion that the National Day of the State of Qatar represents a great symbol in the memory of the citizens, embodies the meanings of unity and fraternity, and carries signs and lofty meanings in the minds and hearts of all citizens and residents in the country.

The newspaper pointed out to what His Excellency said, on this great occasion, that this day is inspired by the values of the nation’s commitments and sacrifice, and a drive to achieve pride, growth and elevation for the State, and work in order to embody the meanings of steadfastness on the principles of freedom and sovereignty to elevate this generous nation, which needs the efforts of all its people, to work with sincerity, dedication and self-denial, especially at this stage that requires exerting more effort to overcome crises and achieve the desired goals, and continue to present pioneering models in various sectors.

The paper referred to what His Excellency said about the achievements of the Ministry of Interior during the past years, thanks to the optimal implementation of strategies, and the high professionalism, according to the development and modernization plans based on human and material capabilities and providing devices and equipment, bearing in mind the importance of excellence and leadership.

The newspaper added that His Excellency also indicated that the Ministry of Interior remains committed to providing the best services to all segments of society in line with its strategy of offering non-centralized services to the public through various digital platforms and geographic locations.

In conclusion, Al-Watan pointed out that His Excellency addressed, in his speech on this precious occasion, what has been accomplished in the fields of education and health, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to the economic successes and the infrastructure projects, which are great and wonderful achievements that we are all proud of as we celebrate the memory of the founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani who placed the foundation for establishing the State of Qatar.

فمن جهتها، قالت صحيفة /الشرق/ إن اليوم الوطني لدولة قطر، الذي يوافق 18 ديسمبر من كل عام، يجسد معاني الوحدة والتكاتف والولاء بين أبناء الوطن الواحد، وهذا اليوم التاريخي، مناسبة عظيمة لذكرى المؤسس، (المغفور له بإذن الله) الشيخ جاسم بن محمد بن ثاني ، الذي وضع اللبنات الأولى لدولة قطر المجيدة، كما يجسد معاني الوطنية والثبات على مبادئ الحرية والسيادة، وذكرى جليلة وسامية تجسّد ارتباط المواطنين بالقيادة الرشيدة التي تضع مصلحة الوطن والمواطنين فوق كل اعتبار.

وأكدت أن دولة قطر، حققت بفضل القيادة الرشيدة، إنجازات في كافة المجالات، وواجهت كافة التحديات باقتدار، وهذا نابع من رؤية حكيمة وركائز رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030، حيث تتمتع قطر بالأمن والاستقرار، ممّا أسهم في تصدرها للعديد من المؤشرات الدولية المعنية برصد حالة الأمن والاستقرار في العالم.

وذكرت أن قطر أنجزت نهضة اجتماعية وثقافية ورياضية وحضارية وتشريعية، بالتوظيف الأمثل للموارد والثروات وفي مقدمتها العنصر البشري، كما برزت على الساحتين الإقليمية والدولية، بنجاحها في الدبلوماسية الإنسانية، وكوسيط موثوق في حل النزاعات الدولية، فضلا عن الاستجابة لجائحة كورونا، وفي هذا الصدد عززت قدراتها وباتت الأولى في الرعاية الصحية خليجياً، وتعاونت على الصعيدين الثنائي والمتعدد الأطراف للحد من الآثار السلبية لهذه الجائحة، ودعمت مؤسسات تطوير اللقاحات والتحالف العالمي”جافي”.

وبينت أن قطر تسير وفق رؤية حكيمة وثاقبة بقيادة حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى من أجل تحقيق أهدافها وتعزيز التنمية والتقدم للوطن والمواطن، وأن الدولة قد خطت خطوات مهمة في تنفيذ مشاريع البنى التحتية، وتطويرها وتحديثها وفق أحدث الأنظمة العالمية عبر خطط عمل وبرامج تضع في أولوياتها إنجاز المهمات بالكفاية المطلوبة، حيث شمل التطوير مختلف المجالات الصحية والتعليمية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية وغيرها، فضلًا عن الاهتمام بالكوادر البشرية الوطنية، وتحقيق النهضة الشاملة للدولة.

وذكرت أنه من حق الشعب القطري أن يحتفل باليوم الوطني وأن يستلهم العبر والدروس من المؤسس للاستفادة منها في بناء الدولة الحديثة باعتبار أن مناسبة اليوم الوطني تكتسب أهمية معنوية كبيرة وتحمل العديد من المعاني السامية والراسخة في قلب وعقل كل من يعيش على أرض قطر .. مضيفة أن الاحتفال بهذه المناسبة يمثل حافزًا للشعب القطري لاستلهام واستخلاص الدروس والعبر، التي تتلخص في ضرورة الإصرار على العمل وتجديد العهد والوعد على ترسيخ معاني الفخر والانتماء والوفاء للوطن، كما أن هذا اليوم المهم يعد فرصة لتجسيد معاني الوحدة والتكاتف.

وخلصت /الراية/ افتتاحيتها بالتأكيد على أن الشعب القطري ومن خلال الاحتفال باليوم الوطني إنما يستلهم من المؤسس (رحمه الله)، حكمته وبصيرته الثاقبة وكلماته المأثورة منهجًا ونبراسًا نهتدي بها في مسيرة البناء والتقدم، والتنمية المستدامة والنهضة الشاملة، كما يستمد من سيرته العطرة الدافع لبذل الغالي والنفيس في سبيل رفعة هذا الوطن المعطاء، الذي يحتاج لجهود جميع أبنائه، من أجل العمل بإخلاص وتفانٍ ، خاصة في هذه المرحلة الحرجة التي تتطلب بذل مزيد من الجهد لتجاوز الأزمات وتحقيق الغايات المنشودة، والاستمرار في تقديم النماذج الرائدة في شتى الصُعد والقطاعات ولذلك يأتي الاحتفال بهذه المناسبة الوطنية المهمة من أجل تجسيد هذه المعاني وتحويلها إلى واقع عملي.

وقالت الصحيفة بعد أن عدّد معاليه ما حققته وزارة الداخلية من إنجازات واضحة وملموسة خلال السنوات السابقة، بفضل التطبيق الأمثل للاستراتيجيات وإنزالها إلى أرض الواقع، باحترافية ومهنية عالية، وفق خطط التطوير والتحديث المعتمدة على توفير الإمكانيات البشرية والمادية وتوفير الأجهزة والمعدات، واضعة في اعتبارها أهمية التميّز والريادة.

وذكرت ان معاليه أشار إلى حرص وزارة الداخلية على المضي قدماً في تقديم الخدمات للجمهور بمختلف شرائحه وفئاته، وفق ما جاء في استراتيجيتها، القائمة على تطبيق لا مركزية الخدمات وايصالها للجمهور عبر مختلف المنصات الرقمية والمواقع الجغرافية.
