Doha: The Ministry of Transport has announced the sponsoring entities and key details related to the Ministry of Transport’s conference and exhibition, themed “Sustainable Transport: Legacy for Generations.” The event is scheduled for September 17-18, 2023, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. This announcement was made during a press conference held yesterday. The list of event sponsors includes 9 entities categorized as follows: Qatar Airways Group, Qatar Ports, and Qatar National Bank (QNB) as strategic sponsors. Qatar Rail and QTerminals as platinum sponsors, while Mowasalat (Karwa) is a gold sponsor. Fusion Holdings contributes as a silver sponsor, while Qatar Navigation (Milaha) and AABDulghani Motors are bronze sponsors.
Engineer Hamad Issa Abdullah stated that the plan to transform the country’s public transportation fleet into electric and environmentally friendly vehicles is progressing as per the plan. It was previously announced during the last World Cup hosted by Qatar that 25% to 30% of the public transport bus fleet will transition to full electric. This is done in coordination with Mowasalat (Karwa) as part of a comprehensive plan that also aims to transition taxis and all public transportation vehicles in the country to 100% clean electric energy by 2030.
He clarified that there is also a comprehensive plan for a complete transition of all vehicles in the country to use clean electric energy, in accordance with Qatar’s comprehensive 2050 transport plan. This plan outlines the frameworks and future directions for developing national transport networks.
On her part, Ms. Lolan Abdulaziz Al Jassim, Director of Public Relations and Communications at the Ministry of Transport, noted that this event witnesses wide participation from various entities and companies. The participants exceed 30 entities, representing ministries, government bodies, private sector, in addition to transportation and communication sector entities, and consulting firms operating in the country. Moreover, relevant national and international companies are also taking part.

الدوحة: أعلنت وزارة النقل عن الجهات الراعية والتفاصيل الرئيسية المتعلقة بمؤتمر ومعرض وزارة النقل، تحت عنوان “النقل المستدام: إرث للأجيال”. من المقرر أن يُعقَد الحدث في الفترة من 17 إلى 18 سبتمبر 2023، في مركز الدوحة للمعارض والمؤتمرات. تم الإعلان عن ذلك خلال مؤتمر صحفي عُقِد يوم أمس. تشمل قائمة رعاة الحدث 9 جهات مُصنّفة على النحو التالي: مجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية، ومواني قطر، والبنك الوطني القطري (QNB) كرعاة استراتيجيين. ستكون سكك الحديد القطرية وكيوتيرمنلز من الرعاة البلاتينيين، وشركة مواصلات (كروه) من الرعاة الذهبيين. ومن المجموعات المشاركة، تقدم مجموعة فيوجن القابضة كراعٍ فضي، في حين تقدم الملاحة القطرية (ملاحة) وشركة آل عبد الغني موتورز كرعاة برونزيين.
أوضح المهندس حمد عيسى عبد الله أن خطة تحويل أسطول وسائل النقل العام في البلاد إلى مركبات كهربائية وصديقة للبيئة تتقدم وفقًا للخطة الموضوعة. سُبِق الإعلان عن ذلك خلال بطولة كأس العالم الأخيرة التي استضافتها قطر، حيث من المقرر أن يتحول من 25% إلى 30% من أسطول حافلات وسائل النقل العام إلى مركبات كهربائية بالكامل. ويتم ذلك بالتعاون مع مواصلات (كروه) ضمن خطة تهدف أيضًا إلى تحويل سيارات الأجرة وجميع وسائل النقل العام في البلاد إلى الاعتماد على الطاقة الكهربائية النظيفة بنسبة 100% بحلول عام 2030.
وأوضح أن هناك أيضًا خطة شاملة لتحويل كافة المركبات في البلاد للاعتماد على الطاقة الكهربائية النظيفة، وذلك وفقًا لخطة النقل الشاملة لقطر لعام 2050، التي تحدد الأطر والاتجاهات المستقبلية لتطوير شبكات النقل على الصعيدين الوطني والإقليمي.
من جانبها، أشارت السيدة لولان عبد العزيز الجاسم، مديرة إدارة العلاقات العامة والاتصال في وزارة النقل، إلى أن هذا الحدث يشهد مشاركة واسعة من مختلف الجهات والشركات. يتجاوز عدد المشاركين 30 جهة، تمثل وزارات وهيئات حكومية والقطاع الخاص، بالإضافة إلى جهات في قطاعي النقل والاتصالات، وشركات استشارية تعمل في البلاد. وتشمل المشاركة أيضًا شركات وطنية ودولية ذات الصلة.
