Qatar Charity, Lusail University Sign Cooperation Agreement

Doha: Qatar Charity (QC) and Lusail University signed an agreement to collaborate in the fields of education and training, research, and studies related to the development and humanitarian work.
The agreement, which is within the framework of the MoU signed between the two sides, aims at joint cooperation in various research fields of common interest such as working on conflict issues, education, training, research and applied studies related to the development and humanitarian work.
It also included cooperation in organizing workshops and training courses, multilingual translation, scholarships, vocational training, and employment for Lusail University students, in addition to collaboration in training executive leadership of Qatar Charity by Lusail University.
Assistant CEO for the Programs and Community Development Sector at Qatar Charity Faisal bin Rashid Al Fahida said that this agreement stems from the belief of Qatar Charity in the importance of cooperation that helps achieve sustainable development goals, strengthen humanitarian response efforts, and find solutions to problems in light of the increasing crises and disasters across the world, in addition to enhancing the capabilities of human resources.
Vice President of Lusail University for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Lusail University, Sheikha Marafie said she was delighted with the agreement concluded with Qatar Charity in support of education. She said that the pact would contribute to achieving the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the sustainable development goals, noting that it highlights the delightful humanitarian role of Qatar and its institutions in support of education worldwide.

الدوحة: وقعت قطر الخيرية وجامعة لوسيل اتفاقية تعاون وشراكة في مجالات التعليم والتدريب، والبحوث والدراسات ذات الصلة بالتنمية والعمل الإنساني.
وتأتي الاتفاقية في إطار مذكرة التفاهم الموقعة بين المؤسستين، والتي تهدف إلى تعاونهما في المجالات البحثية المختلفة ذات الاهتمام المشترك والتي تشكل أولوية استراتيجية وطنية، مثل العمل في قضايا النزاع، وقضايا التعليم والتدريب، والبحوث والدراسات التطبيقية ذات الصلة بالتنمية والعمل الإنساني.
وتضمن التعاون بينهما في تقديم الورش والدورات التدريبية ومجال الترجمة إلى اللغات المختلفة وتقديم المنح الدراسية والتدريب المهني والتوظيف لطلاب جامعة لوسيل، إضافة إلى التعاون في مجال التعليم وتدريب القيادات التنفيذية لموظفي قطر الخيرية من خلال جامعة لوسيل.
وقال السيد فيصل بن راشد الفهيدة مساعد الرئيس التنفيذي لقطاع البرامج وتنمية المجتمع بقطر الخيرية، إن الاتفاقية تأتي انطلاقا من إدراك قطر الخيرية لأهمية التعاون في تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة وتعزيز جهود الاستجابة الإنسانية في ظل تزايد الأزمات والكوارث عبر العالم وأهمية التعاون مع المجتمع الأكاديمي لما يوفره من استفادة عظمى من المدخل العلمي في فهم المشاكل وتشخيصها وإيجاد الحلول لها، إضافة لتعزيز قدرات الموارد البشرية للرفع من كفاءتها.
من جهتها أعربت السيدة شيخة معرفي نائب رئيس جامعة لوسيل للشؤون المالية والإدارية، عن سعادتها بالاتفاقية التي تمت مع قطر الخيرية من أجل دعم جهود التعليم، مؤكدة أنها ستسهم في إبراز دور دولة قطـر الفعال وتحقيق رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030، وأهداف التنمية المستدامة.
