Al Khor Cultural Center Opens Al Khor Ceramic Exhibition

Doha: Al Khor Cultural Center of the Ministry of Culture on Monday inaugurated Al Khor ceramic exhibition at Al Khor park hall – museum building. The exhibition showcases the results of the artistic workshops held by the center during 2023.

Running until Dec. 27, the exhibition Features a wide range of ceramic artworks which are considered a gateway to the history and heritage of the State of Qatar, The exhibition aims to encourage and care for artistic talents, in addition to receiving further participation of the community and introducing the culture and heritage of the Qatari community to visitors.

Director of Al Khor Cultural Center Mariam Ali Al Mohannadi said the exhibition is curated by the Ministry of Culture and exhibits all workshops that have been held during 2023 representing the Qatari identity and heritage which embody the community’s culture derived from the past.

The center is committed to refining a variety of new skills through holding a range of activities, in addition to making environment conducive to ceramic artworks through a myriad of distinguished event, as well as making the optimal environment conducive to the ceramic experiences through holding diverse workshops, Al Mohannadi outlined.

الدوحة:  افتتح مركز الخور الثقافي التابع لوزارة الثقافة، “معرض الخور الخزفي” الذي يعرض نتائج الورش الفنية للمركز خلال عام 2023، وذلك بقاعة منتزه الخور ـ مبنى المتحف.

ويستمر المعرض الذي يضم أعمالا مختلفة من الخزف الذي يعتبر إحدى النوافذ على تاريخ وتراث دولة قطر، حتى 27 ديسمبر الجاري.

ويهدف المعرض إلى تشجيع ورعاية المواهب، واستيعاب المزيد من المشاركات المجتمعية والتعريف بالثقافة والتراث في المجتمع القطري.

وفي هذا السياق قالت السيدة مريم علي المهندي مديرة مركز الخور الثقافي: يقام معرض الخور الخزفي برعاية وزارة الثقافة، وتعرض من خلاله كافة أعمال الورش التي أقيمت خلال العام الجاري والتي تمثل الهوية والإرث القطري، وتحمل في طياتها ثقافة المجتمع المتناغمة مع عبق الماضي الأصيل.

وأوضحت أن المركز يحرص على صقل وإضافة مهارات متنوعة وجديدة للمشتركات ذوات الخبرات المبتدئة والمتوسطة والمتقدمة في مجال الأعمال الخزفية، وذلك من خلال مجموعة مميزة من الأنشطة والفعاليات وتهيئة المناخ الأمثل للتجارب الخزفية عن طريق طرح الورش المختلفة.

جدير بالذكر أن مركز الخور الثقافي يقيم العديد من الورش، مثل: الجدارية، والرسم على الحرير، ومسامير وخيوط، وخط الرقعة، وتشهد إقبالا كبيرا من المنتسبات.
