Qatar Participates in Inauguration of ALECSO Associated Schools Networks

Doha: The State of Qatar participated in an event held remotely for the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), to inaugurate the networks of schools, clubs and scientific chairs affiliated with ALECSO.

The State of Qatar was represented by Secretary-General of Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science (QNCECS) and Deputy Chairperson of the Executive Council Dr. Hamda Hassan Al Sulaiti, Head of the Arab and Islamic Affairs Department Abdullah Al Kubaisi, and Lamia Al Athba, Coordinator of Representatives of ALECSO Associated Schools Network (Al-Nahda Elementary School for Girls – Al-Yarmouk Preparatory School for Boys – Al Iman Secondary School for Girls).

Addressing the event, HE Director General of ALECSO Dr. Mohamed Ould Omar reviewed the directory of networks of schools, clubs and academic chairs affiliated with the organization, and the goals it includes at the national, regional and global levels, as well as the main axes and priority projects for these networks, the mechanisms and conditions for joining them, and the role of Arab national committees in coordination between these networks and ALECSO.

For her part, Dr. Hamda Hassan Al Sulaiti shed light on the experience and leadership of the State of Qatar in joining the UNESCO Associated Schools Network since 1983, based on the belief of its wise leadership in the importance of building human resources.

She indicated the importance of joining such networks which contributed to opening a global channel for the transfer and dissemination of information and knowledge among students, introducing the national, Arab and Islamic history and heritage, communicating with international institutions and organizations in the field of education, culture and science, and promoting dialogue between students and their counterparts in other countries in order to support world peace and security.

She emphasized a number of points that guarantee the success of these networks, including the good choice of activities, programs and projects to be presented such as issues of Arab youth, environment, climate, sustainable development, media, and global issues adopted by Arab and international organizations such as scientific projects that work to develop the spirit of innovation and creativity in students, and issues that work to promote Islamic values, principles and ideals in the hearts of students.

Dr. Al Sulaiti concluded her speech by thanking the ALECSO and HE the Director General for their continuous efforts to serve the educational, cultural and scientific policies, systems and programs in the Arab world.

الدوحة: شاركت دولة قطر في فعالية أقيمت “عن بعد” للمنظمة العربية للتربية والثقافة والعلوم /الألكسو/، وتمثلت في تدشين شبكات المدارس والنوادي والكراسي العلمية المنتسبة لـ/الألكسو/.

مثل دولة قطر الدكتورة حمدة حسن السليطي الأمين العام للجنة الوطنية القطرية للتربية والثقافة والعلوم، نائب رئيس المجلس التنفيذي، والسيد عبدالله الكبيسي- رئيس قسم المنظمات العربية والإسلامية، والسيدة لمياء العذبة منسق لممثلي شبكات المدارس المنتسبة للألكسو (مدرسة النهضة الابتدائية للبنات- مدرسة اليرموك الإعدادية للبنين مدرسة الإيمان الثانوية للبنات).

وخلال كلمة سعادة الدكتور محمد ولد أعمر المدير العام للمنظمة استعراض دليل شبكات المدارس والنوادي والكراسي العلمية المنتسبة للمنظمة، وما يتضمنه هذا الدليل من أهداف على المستويات الوطنية والإقليمية والعالمية، والمحاور الأساسية والمشاريع ذات الأولوية لهذا الشبكات، وآليات وشروط الانتساب إليها، ودور اللجان الوطنية العربية في التنسيق ما بين هذه الشبكات والألكسو.

وسلطت الدكتورة حمدة حسن السليطي الأمين العام للجنة الوطنية القطرية للتربية والثقافة والعلوم في كلمتها الضوء على تجربة وريادة دولة قطر في السبق إلى الانضمام لشبكة المدارس المنتسبة لليونسكو منذ عام 1983، إيمانا من قيادتها الرشيدة بأهمية بناء العنصر البشري، المؤمن بربه وبهويته الوطنية والعربية والإسلامية، والمنفتح على الثقافات والحضارات العالمية.

وأشارت إلى أهمية الانضمام لمثل هذه الشبكات، حيث ساهمت في فتح قناة عالمية لنقل المعلومات والمعارف ونشرها بين الطلبة، والتعريف بتاريخنا وتراثنا الوطني والعربي والإسلامي ، والتواصل مع المؤسسات والمنظمات الدولية ذات الصلة بالمجالات التربوية والثقافية والعلمية، وتعزيز الحوار بين الطلبة ونظرائهم في الدول الأخرى لدعم السلم والأمن العالميين.

وأكدت الدكتورة حمدة في ختام كلمتها على عدد من النقاط التي تضمن النجاح لهذه الشبكات في مهمتها من بينها حسن اختيار الأنشطة والبرامج والمشروعات التي ستطرح مثل قضايا الشباب العربي، والبيئة والمناخ والتنمية المستدامة والإعلام، والقضايا العالمية التي تتبناها المنظمات العربية والعالمية مثل المشروعات العلمية التي تعمل على تنمية روح الابتكار والإبداع لدى الطلبة، والقضايا التي تعمل على تعزيز القيم والمبادئ والمثل الإسلامية في نفوس الطلبة.

واختتمت الأمين العام للجنة الوطنية كلمتها بتقديم الشكر للمنظمة العربية ولسعادة المدير العام على جهودهم المتواصلة لخدمة السياسات والنظم والبرامج التربوية والثقافية والعلمية في الوطن العربي.
