Doha: A 90-year-old woman became the first to receive a vaccination against coronavirus in the comprehensive vaccination program that began across Britain.
According to the BBC website, Margaret Kennan, who will be 91 years old next week, took the injection at 06:31 a.m. GMT – the first of the 800,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, which will be given to patients in the coming weeks.

Requests have been submitted for 40 million doses, sufficient to vaccinate 20 million people, as each person must take the dose twice.
But most of this number of doses is not expected to be available until next year, although government sources said that another four million doses will arrive to the country by the end of this year.
What did the Minister of Health say?
Health Minister Matt Hancock told the BBC that we had a “long march, but this is the door to the exit.”
He added, “This is a deadly virus. We have to abide by the rules.”
Hancock expected that it would take “several weeks” to vaccinate the first group of health workers, care workers and those over the age of 80.

ماذا قالت مارغريت؟

نصيحة طبيب متخصص
قال البروفيسور ستيفن بويس ، المدير الطبي لهيئة التأمين الصحي الوطنية في إنجلترا إن بدء برنامج التطعيم يجعلك تحس بأن هذا “بداية النهاية”.
وأضاف أن 2020 كان عاما “مروعا”، لكن الحياة ستعود إلى “طبيعتها” في الأشهر المقبلة.
وردا على سؤال حول رسالته إلى الأشخاص الذين قد يكون لديهم مخاوف بشأن حقنة كوفيد، قال لبي بي سي إن اللقاح هو “أحد أكثر أشكال الأدوية أمانا”.
