Qatar Airways Launches Flights to Seattle Starting March 2021

Doha: Qatar Airways announced Tuesday the launch of four weekly flights to Seattle starting March 15 of 2021.

Seattle is the seventh new destination launched by the national carrier of the State of Qatar since the start of the pandemic. This news comes as the airline continues to strengthen its network across the globe through reinstating flights, adding new destinations and expanding its strategic partnerships. The Seattle service will be operated by Qatar Airways state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 featuring 36 seats in the award-winning Qsuite Business Class and 247 seats in Economy Class.

The national carrier of the State of Qatar also announced a frequent flyer partnership with Alaska Airlines. From Dec. 15 of 2020, Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Alaska Mileage Plan members will be able to earn frequent flyer miles and from March 31 of 2021. Members can also redeem frequent flyer miles on both carriers full networks, and elite status perks including lounge access. The two airlines are also working closely on developing a codeshare agreement and commercial cooperation in line with the U.S. carrier joining oneworld on 31 March 2021.

This also supports the Ports decision to continue to invest in projects such as the International Arrivals Facility and North Satellite Modernization to provide a better experience for travelers from around the world.”

Business Class passengers flying to Seattle will enjoy the award-winning Qsuite business class seat, featuring sliding privacy doors and the option to use a Do Not Disturb (DND) indicator. The Qsuite seat layout is a 1-2-1 configuration, providing passengers with the most spacious, fully private, comfortable and socially distanced Business Class product in the sky.

The launch of flights to Seattle in March 2021 will increase Qatar Airways U.S. network to 59 weekly flights to 11 destinations in the U.S.

الدوحة: أعلنت الخطوط الجوية القطرية عن إطلاق أربع رحلات أسبوعيا إلى مدينة سياتل الأمريكية اعتبارا من 15 مارس للعام المقبل، لتصبح سياتل بذلك الوجهة الجديدة السابعة التي تطلقها الناقلة الوطنية لدولة قطر منذ بداية انتشار جائحة كوفيد -19.

ويأتي الإعلان عن إطلاق هذه الوجهة الجديدة في الوقت الذي تواصل فيه الناقلة القطرية تعزيز شبكة وجهاتها العالمية، من خلال استئناف الرحلات الجوية وإضافة وجهات جديدة وتوسيع شراكاتها الاستراتيجية.

وأعلنت الناقلة القطرية إبرام اتفاقية شراكة على مستوى برنامج المسافر الدائم مع خطوط ألاسكا الجوية، اعتبارا من 15 ديسمبر للعام الجاري سيتمكن أعضاء نادي الامتياز التابع للخطوط الجوية القطرية وأعضاء برنامج المسافر الدائم لخطوط ألاسكا الجوي من كسب أميال عن رحلاتهم، واعتبارا من 31 مارس للعام المقبل، سيتمكن الأعضاء من استبدال الأميال على الرحلات على كافة الوجهات العاملة على شبكة وجهات الناقلتين.

وتعمل الناقلتان القطرية والأمريكية معا بشكل وثيق لإبرام اتفاقية الرمز المشترك والتعاون التجاري، وذلك تماشيا مع انضمام خطوط ألاسكا الجوية إلى تحالف oneworld بتاريخ 31 مارس للعام المقبل.

وقال سعادة السيد أكبر الباكر، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية “تلتزم الخطوط الجوية القطرية بتعزيز شبكة وجهاتها داخل السوق الأمريكية، ويتضح هذا الالتزام جليا عبر إطلاق رحلاتنا الجوية إلى مدينة سياتل، التي ستصبح الوجهة الأمريكية الجديدة الثانية التي نطلق رحلاتنا إليها منذ انتشار جائحة كوفيد 19، ووجهتنا الجديدة السابعة لهذا العام، وبوابتنا الحادية عشرة في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، متجاوزين بذلك عدد الوجهات التي اعتدنا تسيير رحلاتنا إليها في الولايات المتحدة قبل انتشار جائحة كوفيد 19”.

وأضاف السيد بيتر ستينبريك، رئيس هيئة موانئ سياتل “أن هذا الالتزام من الخطوط الجوية القطرية بالرغم من الأوضاع الحالية بسبب الجائحة يعد شاهدا على ما يوليه العالم من أهمية لمنطقة بيوجت ساوند. كما يدعم هذا الالتزام قرار الهيئة الرامي إلى الاستمرار بالاستثمار في مختلف المشاريع مثل مرفق القادمين الدوليين ومشروع تحديث المبنى الشمالي بهدف تعزيز مستوى الخدمات المقدمة للمسافرين من مختلف أنحاء العالم”.

ومن شأن إطلاق هذه الرحلات الجوية إلى سياتل اعتبارا من مارس العام المقبل تعزيز شبكة وجهات الخطوط الجوية القطرية في الولايات المتحدة إلى 11 وجهة، تسير إليها 59 رحلة أسبوعيا، مع إمكانية الوصول إلى مئات المدن في الولايات المتحدة من خلال الشراكات الاستراتيجية مع خطوط ألاسكا الجوية، والخطوط الجوية الأمريكية، وخطوط جيت بلو الجوية.
