Sheikha Moza, UN Secretary-General discuss educational issues

H H Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation and UN Sustainable Development Goals Advocate, met yesterday with the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, at the UN Headquarters in New York.

In the meeting, they explored ways to eliminate barriers to education access and shared the contribution of Education Above All towards the Sustainable Development Goals 2030. They also discussed the need to enforce stricter sanctions against perpetrators of armed conflicts and attacks on education.

اجتمعت صاحبة السمو الشيخة موزا بنت ناصر رئيس مؤسسة التعليم فوق الجميع، أمس الأول الثلاثاء، بسعادة السيد أنطونيو غوتيريش الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة، وذلك في مقر الأمم المتحدة بمدينة نيويورك.

حضرت الاجتماع سعادة الشيخة علياء أحمد بن سيف آل ثاني المندوب الدائم لدولة قطر لدى الأمم المتحدة.

تم خلال الاجتماع مناقشة سبل الحد من العراقيل التي تحول دون الحصول على التعليم، كما تم استعراض جهود مؤسسة التعليم فوق الجميع نحو تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة 2030، بالإضافة إلى ضرورة فرض عقوبات على مرتكبي الهجمات المسلحة على التعليم.;
