MOCI Seizes 44 Violations During Inspection Campaigns

Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) announced that it carried out, in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior, inspection campaigns that resulted in the seizure of 44 violations, which varied between opening and practicing an activity without a license, and failure to meet the general and special requirements for commercial stores.

The ministry said, in a statement, that the campaigns targeted workshops and stores within residential neighborhoods in different regions of the country, with the aim of monitoring the extent of compliance with laws and regulations governing the practice of commercial activities, and the extent of compliance with Law No. (5) of 2015 regarding similar industrial and general commercial shops and street vendors.

The ministry emphasized that these inspection campaigns come within the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to regulate and monitor markets and commercial activities in the country, and to monitor the extent of compliance with laws and regulations governing the practice of commercial activities with the aim of controlling violations and uncovering violations.

The ministry stressed that it will firmly confront everyone who neglects their obligations stipulated in Law No. (5) of 2015, and will work to intensify its inspection campaigns to control such practices, violation, and refer everyone who violates laws and ministerial decisions to the competent authorities to take appropriate measures in order to protect consumers’ rights.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry urged all merchants and shopkeepers to adhere to the laws and regulations for conducting commercial activities in force, and also called for visiting the Ministry of Commerce and Industry website www.moci.gov.qa to avoid legal accountability.

The ministry also urged all consumers to report any violations via the call center (16001), or by e-mail to infomoci.gov.qa, and the ministry’s accounts on social media, Twitter MOCIQATAR, Instagram, MOCIQATAR, and the MOCIQATAR application on mobile phones.

الدوحة: أعلنت وزارة التجارة والصناعة أنها نفذت مؤخرا، بالتعاون مع وزارة الداخلية، حملات تفتيشية أسفرت عن ضبط وتحرير 44 محضر مخالفات تنوعت ما بين فتح وممارسة نشاط بدون ترخيص، وعدم استيفاء الاشتراطات العامة والخاصة للمحلات التجارية.

وأفادت الوزارة، في بيان، بأن الحملات شملت محلات الورش والمخازن داخل الأحياء السكنية بمناطق مختلفة من الدولة، وذلك بهدف مراقبة مدى الالتزام بالقوانين واللوائح المنظمة لممارسة الأنشطة التجارية، ومدى الالتزام بالقانون رقم (5) لسنة 2015 بشأن المحال التجارية الصناعية والعامة المماثلة والباعة المتجولين.

وأكدت أن هذه الحملات التفتيشية تأتي في إطار حرص الوزارة على تنظيم ومراقبة الأسواق والأنشطة التجارية بالدولة، ومراقبة مدى الالتزام بالقوانين واللوائح المنظمة لممارسة الأنشطة التجارية بهدف ضبط المخالفات والكشف عن التجاوزات.. مشددة على أنها ستواجه بحزم كل من يتهاون بالتزاماته المنصوص عليها في القانون رقم (5) لسنة 2015، وستعمل على تكثيف حملاتها التفتيشية لضبط مثل هذه الممارسات، المخالفة، وإحالة كل من يخالف القوانين والقرارات الوزارية إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات المناسبة ضده وذلك حماية لحقوق المستهلكين.

وحثت وزارة التجارة والصناعة جميع التجار وأصحاب المحال التجارية على ضرورة الالتزام بأنظمة وقوانين مزاولة الأنشطة التجارية المعمول بها، كما دعت إلى الاطلاع على هذه الأنظمة والقوانين، من خلال زيارة موقع وزارة التجارة والصناعة www.moci.gov.qa تجنبا للمساءلة القانونية.

كما حثت الوزارة جميع المستهلكين على الإبلاغ عن أي تجاوزات أو مخالفات عبر مركز الاتصال (16001)، أو من خلال البريد الإلكتروني info@moci.gov.qa ، وحسابات الوزارة على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي توتير MOCIQATAR@، والانستجرام MOCIQATAR، وتطبيق MOCIQATAR على الهواتف المحمولة.
