Ministry Obtains RAIS System

Doha: The Ministry of Municipality and Environment, represented by the Radiation and Chemicals Protection Department, in coordination with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), obtained the Regulatory Authority Information System (RAIS).
RAIS is a software application developed by the IAEA to assist Member States in managing their regulatory control programs in accordance with IAEA Safety Standards and guides.
A specialized technical team in the radiation protection section at the Department is auditing all the data of radioactive sources, companies, transport vehicles, workers, and activities and entering them into the system to create the basic rules for the record of radioactive sources in the country, inspection reports, and information about the supervisory authority in the country represented by the Radiation and Chemicals Protection Department of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment.
The system has been prepared and made appropriate amendments to it, to be in line with the national systems currently in the country, and the registry will be available to the concerned authorities in the country to strengthening the monitoring work on activities, practices, and radioactive sources.

الدوحة: حصلت وزارة البلدية والبيئة ممثلة بإدارة الوقاية من الإشعاع والمواد الكيميائية بالتنسيق مع الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية، على نظام إدارة الهيئات الرقابية وسجلات المصادر المشعة المسمى بنظام /الرايس/.
و/الرايس/ هو نظام معلومات للهيئات الرقابية طورته الوكالة لمساعدة الدول الأعضاء على إدارة برامجها الخاصة بالتحكم الرقابي وفقا لمعايير وأدلة الأمان الصادرة عن الوكالة.
ويقوم فريق فني مختص بقسم الوقاية من الإشعاع بالإدارة، حاليا بالتدقيق على جميع بيانات المصادر المشعة والشركات ومركبات النقل والعاملين والأنشطة وإدخالها في النظام ليتم إنشاء القواعد الأساسية لسجل المصادر المشعة في الدولة، وتقارير التفتيش، ومعلومات عن الجهة الرقابية في الدولة ممثلة بإدارة الوقاية من الإشعاع والمواد الكيميائية بوزارة البلدية والبيئة.
يذكر أنه تمت تهيئة هذا النظام وعمل تعديلات مناسبة عليه، ليتماشى مع الأنظمة الوطنية الموجودة في الدولة حاليا، وسيكون السجل متاحا للجهات المعنية في الدولة بهدف تعزيز العمل الرقابي على الأنشطة والممارسات والمصادر المشعة.
