Doha: The Qatari Calendar House announced that the inhabitants of the globe will be on a date next Monday with the last eclipse of the moon during the current year 2020, which is the midpoint of which will coincide with the Badr of Rabi al-Akhir in the year 1442 AH.

Dr. Bashir Marzouq, the astronomer at the Qatar Calendar House, said that the last lunar eclipse of this year will be of the semi-paranormal eclipse of the moon, as 83% of the entire moon’s surface will fall in the semi-shadow of the Earth when the lunar eclipse reaches its climax, and it is difficult to distinguish this lunar eclipse with the naked eye. but it can be observed with astronomical telescopes because only the moon’s color changes during this type of eclipse without the Earth blocking any part of its surface.

He added that the residents of the State of Qatar will not be able to monitor this lunar eclipse because the moon is below the horizon at the time of the eclipse, but they can follow it through live broadcasts on the Internet by the US space agency / NASA, while the residents of the South and North America, northwestern Europe, and Australia will be able to , And parts of eastern Asia can observe the semi-paranormal eclipse of the Moon.

Dr. Marzouq explained that all stages of this eclipse will take a period of four hours and twenty-one minutes from the beginning of the eclipse until its end, noting that the moon will start to enter the semi-shadow of the earth at (10:32) a.m. Doha time and the eclipse will reach its climax at (12:43) p.m. while the last stages of the semi-shadow eclipse will end at (2:53) pm local time.

It is noteworthy that lunar eclipses can be seen in all areas where the moon appears at the time of the eclipse, unlike solar eclipses, which can only be seen by residents of areas located in the cone of the moon’s shadow or near its shadow at the time of the eclipse. Lunar and solar eclipses can be used to ensure the accuracy of the astronomical calculations used to calculate the orbits of celestial bodies, in addition to confirming the correctness of the beginnings and ends of the Hijri months.

The current year (2020 AD) has witnessed three lunar eclipses, all of them semi-eclipse type.

الدوحة: أعلنت دار التقويم القطري، أن سكان الكرة الأرضية سيكونون يوم /الإثنين/ المقبل على موعد مع الخسوف الأخير للقمر خلال العام 2020 الجاري، وهو الخسوف الذي سيتفق توقيت وسطه مع بدر شهر ربيع الآخر للعام 1442ه.

وقال الدكتور بشير مرزوق الخبير الفلكي بدار التقويم القطري، إن آخر الخسوفات القمرية لهذا العام سيكون من نوع الخسوف شبه الظلي للقمر، حيث سيقع 83% من كامل سطح القمر في منطقة شبه ظل الأرض عندما يصل الخسوف القمري ذروته، ومن الصعب تمييز هذا الخسوف القمري بالعين المجردة ولكن يمكن رصده بالتليسكوبات الفلكية، لأن لون القمر فقط يتغير خلال هذا النوع من الخسوفات دون أن تحجب الأرض أي جزء من سطحه.

وأضاف أن سكان دولة قطر لن يتمكنوا من رصد هذا الخسوف القمري لوجود القمر تحت الأفق وقت حدوث الخسوف، ولكن يمكنهم متابعته من خلال البث الحي على الانترنت بواسطة وكالة /ناسا/ الفضائية الأمريكية، فيما سيتمكن سكان الأمريكتين الجنوبية والشمالية، وشمال غربي قارة أوروبا، وأستراليا، وأجزاء من شرق قارة آسيا من رصد الخسوف شبه الظلي للقمر.

وأوضح الدكتور مرزوق أن جميع مراحل هذا الخسوف ستستغرق مدة قدرها أربع ساعات وإحدى وعشرين دقيقة من بداية الخسوف وحتى نهايته، علما بأن القمر سيبدأ بالدخول في منطقة شبه ظل الأرض عند الساعة (10:32) صباحا بتوقيت الدوحة، وسيبلغ الخسوف ذروته عند الساعة (12:43) مساء، بينما ستنتهي آخر مراحل الخسوف شبه الظلي عند الساعة (2:53) مساء بالتوقيت المحلي.

يذكر أن الخسوفات القمرية يمكن رؤيتها في جميع المناطق التي يظهر فيها القمر وقت حدوث الخسوف، بعكس الكسوفات الشمسية التي لا يتمكن من رؤيتها إلا سكان المناطق الواقعة في مخروط ظل القمر أو شبه ظله وقت حدوث الكسوف. ويمكن الاستفادة من الخسوفات القمرية والكسوفات الشمسية في التأكد من دقة الحسابات الفلكية المستخدمة في حساب مدارات الأجرام السماوية، إضافة إلى أنها تؤكد صحة بدايات ونهايات الأشهر الهجرية.

وكان العام الجاري (2020م) قد شهد ثلاثة خسوفات قمرية، وجميعها من نوع الخسوف شبه الظلي للقمر.
