Doha: Celebrities, actors, singers and athletes make millions of dollars annually due to their work and fame around the world, but what is unbelievable is their continued achievement of millions as well, even years and decades after their death.

In Forbes’ 2020 list of highest-paid celebrities after their death, the list includes faces that have become an essential part of the list every year, such as Michael Jackson and Marilyn Monroe, and some other new faces who have joined them this year, including the basketball player Kobe Bryant.

And here are the most prominent celebrities on this list:

Marilyn Monroe

Actress, singer and fashion model Marilyn Monroe died at the age of 36, and with her young age, she managed to achieve unprecedented success, and she remains an icon of beauty and attractiveness despite her passing away over more than 58 years.

Kobe Bryant

Elvis Presley was born in Memphis to a poor family in 1935, and with his unique talent, he managed to achieve a dazzling success that made him one of the symbols of the 20th century, and after his death, his home was transformed into a museum that attracts thousands of fans from around the world, and his collections were sold at international auctions.

The rock and roll star died in 1977 of a heart attack, and he was 42 years old at then, but he is still one of the most famous singers around the world, and his recordings are in continuous success so far, as he sold nearly a billion records around the world, and in 2020 only his works achieved more than $23 million.

Arnold Palmer

Professional golf player Arnold Palmer died in 2016 due to a heart disease, at the age of 87, and he is considered one of the greats of this game, but he was not only a professional golfer, he was also a successful businessman.

توفي الموسيقار والكاتب والمغني روبرت بوب مارلي بسبب إصابته بسرطان الجلد في 11 مايو- أيار عام 1981، وكان بعمر 36 عاما، ورغم قصر مسيرته المهنية، فإنه استطاع أن يكون من رواد موسيقى الريغي في بلده جامايكا، وتمكن من تحويل الريغي من موسيقى محلية إلى نمط موسيقي عالمي.

قال مارلي في أحد تصريحاته “أحب غيتاري، ولكن لا أعتبر نفسي ماهرا في العزف عليه”، ولكن يبدو أنه كان متواضعا للغاية، أو غير مدرك لعظمة عزفه وأغانيه التي ما زالت حية حتى الآن، وحققت أكثر من 14 مليون دولار خلال عام 2020، بحسب مجلة “Forbes “

كوبي براينت

توفي كوبي براينت وابنته جيانا في 26 يناير/كانون الثاني من هذا العام في حادث تحطم طائرة مروحية، وكان خبر وفاتهما مفجعا للملايين من محبي كرة السلة وحتى من غير المعجبين باللعبة حول العالم.

وقع أسطورة كرة السلة صفقة تعاون مع شركة “” (Nike) للأحذية عام 2003، ومنذ ذلك الحين، تطلق الشركة أحذية رياضية باسمه، حتى بعد اعتزاله عام 2016، وبعد وفاته حققت أحذيته مبيعات لا تصدق بعد أن تهافت عليها المعجبون، كما بيعت أكثر من 300 ألف نسخة من سيرته الذاتية.

حقق براينت خلال هذا العام حوالي 20 مليون دولار، ليكون بذلك في المرتبة السادسة في قائمة فوربس للمشاهير الراحلين الأعلى أجرا لعام 2020.

إلفيس بريسلي

ولد إلفيس بريسلي في ممفيس لأسرة فقيرة عام 1935، وتمكن بموهبته الفريدة أن يحقق نجاحا مبهرا جعله أحد رموز القرن الـ20، وبعد وفاته تحول منزله إلى متحف يجذب آلاف المعجبين من حول العالم، وبيعت مقتنياته في مزادات عالمية.

توفى نجم الروك آند رول عام 1977 بنوبة قلبية، وكان عمره 42 عاما، ولكن لا يزال من أكثر المغنين شهرة حول العالم، وتسجيلاته في نجاح مستمر حتى الآن، إذ باع ما يقرب من مليار اسطوانة حول العالم، وفي عام 2020 فقط حققت أعماله أكثر من 23 مليون دولار.

أرنولد بالمر

توفي لاعب الغولف المحترف أرنولد بالمر في عام 2016 بسبب أمراض القلب، عن عمر يناهز 87 عاما، ويعتبر أحد عظماء هذه اللعبة، ولكنه لم يكن لاعب غولف محترف فقط، فقد كان رجل أعمال ناجحا أيضا.

قام بالمر بتوقيع شراكات مربحة مع علامات تجارية عالمية في مجالات مختلفة، ومنها علامة الساعات السويسرية “Rolex ” و “MasterCard ” للخدمات المالية، كما استخدم اسمه وصورته وتوقيعه على شاي “Arizona ” المثلّج.

مايكل جاكسون

لم يكن أي شيء من حياة مايكل جاكسون عاديا، فقد تميز في أغانيه ومظهره ورقصاته، حتى أنه يعتبر أحد أهم الرموز الثقافية في أواخر القرن الـ20.

بعمر 13 عاما فقط بدأت نجومية جاكسون في الظهور، وفي مطلع ثمانينات القرن الماضي أصبح أول أميركي من أصل أفريقي يصل إلى العالمية، وحققت ألبوماته ملايين المبيعات، وكسرت الأرقام القياسية، ومع ذلك توفى ملك البوب وهو غارق في الديون التي بلغت حوالي 400 مليون دولار.
