Design a logo for Qatari products, stand a chance to win QR25,000

Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) launched a competition for the best “Qatari Product” logo design, as part of its efforts to stimulate and enrich the culture of innovation and encourage the local product.

The conditions of the competition provides for the logo to be modern, reflects an association with the State of Qatar, and has modern, innovative and not adapted from previous designs, the Ministry said in a statement.

Participants in the competition should be citizens or residents of the State of Qatar. The submitted works must not contain informational or promotional materials for any party. Works that have been featured in other competitions, including those that have not been selected, are barred. The ministry also mentioned other technical requirements related to the logo.

The design submitted must be the original work of the designer, who shall be sharing it for the first time in a competition. The contestant must present design samples applying the logo on different products, and has the right to submit more than one design in the competition.

The winning contestant shall agree that the logo will become the exclusive property of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The Ministry defines a “Qatari Product” as any product manufactured in the State of Qatar, adding that the winner of the best logo design will get a money prize worth QR 25 thousand.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry set December 10 the deadline for submitting the participations at the Ministry’s building located in Lusail. For enquiries, contact the Ministry via email (tendersgroupmoci.gov.qa).

الدوحة: أطلقت وزارة التجارة والصناعة مسابقة لأفضل تصميم لشعار /منتج قطري/، في إطار جهودها لتحفيز وإثراء ثقافة الابتكار وتشجيع المنتج المحلي.

وتتضمن شروط المسابقة، أن تكون التصاميم عصرية تعكس ارتباطها بدولة قطر، وحديثة الملامح ومبتكرة ولا تتبع أي نمط تقليدي، كما ينبغي أن تكون التصاميم المقدمة من عمل المتسابق، ولم يسبق له المشاركة بها في مسابقات أخرى، وألا تكون مقتبسة من أي تصاميم سابقة.

كما أكدت على أن يكون المشارك من المواطنين أو المقيمين في دولة قطر، وألا يحتوي العمل المقدم على مواد إعلامية أو ترويجية لأي جهة، كما لا يُسمح باستخدام التصاميم المُشاركة في أعمال أخرى حتى في حال عدم اختيارها، فضلا عن بعض الاشتراطات الفنية المتعلقة بالشعار.

وتتضمن الاشتراطات الأخرى للمسابقة، أن يتم تقديم نماذج تصاميم تُظهر توظيف الشعار على منتجات مختلفة، وموافقة المتسابق الفائز على أن يُصبح التصميم ملكية حصرية لوزارة التجارة والصناعة، كما يحق للمشارك أن يتقدم بأكثر من تصميم في المسابقة.

إلى ذلك، أوضحت الوزارة أن المنتج القطري المقصود في الشعار هو كل منتج تتم صناعته في دولة قطر.. مشيرة إلى أن الفائز بتصميم أفضل شعار سيحصل على جائزة مالية قدرها 25 ألف ريال قطري.

وحددت وزارة التجارة والصناعة يوم 10 من ديسمبر المقبل، آخر موعد لإيداع المشاركات في مبنى الوزارة الكائن بمنطقة /لوسيل/.. كما أتاحت فرصة للتواصل وطرح التساؤلات عبر البريد الإلكتروني (tendersgroup@moci.gov.qa).
