Report of Qatar prohibiting entry to certain nationalities on social media is fake: QCAA
«الطيران المدني» تؤكد عدم صحة «تعميم» يتم تداوله حاليا عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي
A document doing rounds on social media about restricting entry to passengers of certain nationalities is fake clarified the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) in a statement published in Arabic and English on its social media.
The fake document, circulated on social media, states that “it is prohibited to accept all passengers arriving from Egypt, Oman and Kuwait through intermediate points, including bearers of valid residence in the state of Qatar. Turkish and Iranian nationals are exempted from the above-mentioned decision.” The document is addressed to all Airline Manager and to all Travel Agents Managers.
The Civil Aviation Authority stated that this document being circulated on the social media platforms is inaccurate.
The fake document is an edited version of a previous notice where QCAA stated people traveling from Egypt are temporarily restricted entry into Qatar.
It also advised residents and audience to obtain news from its official sources through the authority’s official accounts on social media and to follow up on COVID updates from the Ministry of Public Health and Qatar’s Government Communications Office.

وقالت الهيئة عبر حساباتها الرسمية بمواقع التواصل الاجتماعي: “تنوه الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني بعدم صحة التعميم المرفق الذي يتم تداوله حاليا عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي”.
ودعت الجميع بضرورة استقاء الأخبار من مصادرها الرسمية عبر حسابات الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني بوسائل التواصل الاجتماعي ومتابعة ما يصدربشأن الإجراءات الاحترازيةفيما يخص فيروس كورونا المستجد (كوفيد 19) من وزارة الصحة العامةومكتب الاتصال الحكومي في دولة قطر.
