MOI Launches Comprehensive Awareness Campaign for Camping Season

Doha: The Ministry of Interior has launched a comprehensive awareness campaign for the 2020 camping season under the theme ‘Camp and Be Cautious’. With the participation of a number of concerned departments, the campaign aims at raising awareness about the need to adhere to all security and public safety measures to ensure the safety of all campers.

For this purpose, the Ministry organized visits to a number of camps in Al Shamal region, where officers of the departments of civil defense, community police, industrial security, juveniles, and coasts and borders security, provided a set of instructions and advice to camp goers who praised the Ministry of Interior’s awareness efforts in various fields.

Lt. Col. Rashid Mubarak Al Khayarin, awareness officer at the community police department, affirmed the Ministry’s keenness on undertaking its societal role, enhancing cooperation with community institutions and individuals, and providing all assistance, especially in the awareness aspect, in cooperation with the public relations department and all relevant Ministry’s departments.

Several coordination meetings, he said, were held between the participating departments in the campaign in order to agree on studying and defining the topics and awareness programs needed by the campers, which included achieving safety and prevention in all camping areas in the country.

For his part, Captain Ali Hussain Al Mohannadi, who supervises the campaign, said it will continue for a period of four months during which the officers of the participating departments pay a visit every week to a group of camps to cover the various camping areas, and a group of female members is expected to participate to provide advice and awareness to families, women and children in the coming weeks.

The campaign’s programs include a set of instructions related to safety and security in tents, and when going to the sea for swimming or fishing, as well as means to monitor children and controls for handling bicycles, in addition to a commitment to stay away from restricted areas. Other instructions aimed at ensuring a safe camp for families and individuals, in addition to distributing flyers that contain adequate instructions for safety and security during the camping period.

The general directorate of traffic will carry out, on the occasion of the camping season, intensive traffic campaigns aimed at spreading traffic awareness among the campers and camps’ visitors, as well as sending awareness messages to desert racers.

الدوحة: أطلقت وزارة الداخلية، حملة التوعية الشاملة بمناسبة موسم التخييم للعام الحالي تحت شعار /خيم وخلك حريص/ بمشاركة عدد من الإدارات المعنية بهدف نشر الوعي بضرورة الالتزام بكافة إجراءات الأمن والسلامة العامة لضمان سلامة جميع المخيمين.

وفي هذا الإطار نظمت الوزارة زيارات لعدد من المخيمات بمنطقة الشمال حيث قدم ضباط إدارات الدفاع المدني والشرطة المجتمعية والأمن الصناعي والاحداث وأمن السواحل والحدود، مجموعة من الإرشادات والنصائح لرواد المخيمات الذين أشادوا بجهود وزارة الداخلية التوعوية في مختلف المجالات.

وأكد المقدم راشد مبارك الخيارين ضابط التوعية بإدارة الشرطة المجتمعية، حرص وزارة الداخلية على ممارسة دورها المجتمعي وتعزيز التعاون مع مؤسسات وأفراد المجتمع وتقديم كل العون والمساعدة خاصة في الجانب التوعوي بالتعاون مع إدارة العلاقات العامة وكافة الإدارات المعنية بالوزارة.

وأوضح أنه تم عقد عدة اجتماعات تنسيقية بين الإدارات المشاركة في الحملة من أجل الاتفاق على دراسة وتحديد الموضوعات والبرامج التوعوية التي يحتاجها المخيمون والتي تضمن تحقيق السلامة والوقاية في كافة مناطق التخييم بالدولة.

بدوره أوضح النقيب علي حسين المهندي المشرف على الحملة، أنها ستستمر لمدة أربعة أشهر “حيث ينتقل ضباط الإدارات المشاركة كل أسبوع إلى مجموعة من المخيمات لتغطية مختلف مناطق التخييم، وينتظر مشاركة مجموعة من العناصر النسائية لتقديم النصح والتوعية للعائلات والنساء والأطفال خلال الأسابيع المقبلة”.

وتتضمن برامج الحملة جملة من الإرشادات المتعلقة بالأمن والسلامة في الخيام، وعند ارتياد البحر للسباحة أو الصيد، ووسائل مراقبة الأطفال، وضوابط التعامل مع الدراجات، والالتزام بعدم الاقتراب من المناطق المحظورة، وغيرها من الإرشادات التي تهدف إلى ضمان تخييم آمن للأسر والأفراد.. كما يتم توزيع المطويات التي تتضمن تعليمات وافية للأمن والسلامة خلال فترة التخييم.

في الإطار ذاته، تنفذ الإدارة العامة للمرور بمناسبة موسم التخييم حملات مرورية مكثفة بهدف نشر الوعي المروري بين المخيمين، ورواد مناطق التخييم، وكذلك بث رسائل توعوية للمتسابقين في الاستعراض الرملي (التطعيس) الذي يستهوي الكثير من الشباب.
