Barack Obama Says Won’t Take Position In Biden’s Cabinet

Washington: Former US President Barack Obama announced that he would refuse to serve in the Joe Biden administration if offered, because he feared that his wife Michelle would leave him.
And in an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, according to The Guardian, Obama joked: “There are things I won’t do, otherwise Michelle will leave me, she will say, ‘What? What are you going to do?”
At the same time, former US President Obama confirmed that he is ready to help Joe Biden and his incoming administration in every possible way, but he does not plan to “go there to work.”
Regarding his wife, Michelle, Obama continued, “I am aware of the sacrifices she made … for whatever reason, she forgave me, sort of … she still reminds me from time to time of what she endured for me.”
Obama hopes and looks forward to isolating himself from politics, noting that leaving all of this behind his back and not entering it again “makes him feel at times as if he has came back to life.”

وفي حوار مع شبكة سي بي إس صنداي مورنينغ ، حسب صحيفة الغارديان، قال أوباما مازحا: “هناك أشياء لن أفعلها، وإلا فإن ميشيل ستتركني، ستقول “ماذا؟ ما الذي ستفعله؟”.
في الوقت نفسه، أكد الرئيس الأمريكي السابق أوباما أنه مستعد لمساعدة جو بايدن وإدارته القادمة بكل وسيلة ممكنة، لكنه لا يخطط “للذهاب إلى هناك للعمل”.
وتابع أوباما قائلا بشأن زوجته ميشيل: “إنني مدرك للتضحيات التي قدمتها.. لأي سبب من الأسباب ، لقد سامحتني، نوعا ما.. ما زالت تذكرني من حين لآخر بما تحملته هي من أجلي”.
ويأمل ويتطلع أوباما إلى الانعزال عن السياسة، مشيرا إلى أن ترك كل ذلك وراء ظهره وعدم الولوج فيه مرة أخرى “يجعله يشعر في بعض الأحيان وكأنه عاد إلى الحياة”
