AFC Delegation Praises Qatar’s Preparations to Host AFC Champions League for East Asian Clubs

Doha: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) delegation inspected the Qatari stadiums that will host the AFC Champions League competitions for East Asian clubs, which begins Wednesday until Dec. 13. The participating teams will compete to qualify for the AFC Champions League Final against the West Asian champion Persepolis FC of Iran in Doha on Dec. 19.
The AFC delegation’s visit to the stadiums came in accordance with its main organizational tasks and held several meetings with officials of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), as well as visited hotels designated for teams, AFC officials and championship referees.
The AFC delegation praised the final preparations made and the great readiness of tournament stadiums, namely: Khalifa International Stadium, Education City Stadium and Al Janoub Stadium, which are the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 stadiums, as well as the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium at Al Sadd Sports Club.
The AFC delegation appreciated the great efforts made by the LOC, which spared no effort in providing all the special requirements in East Asian club competitions in accordance with the highest international standards, praising at the same time the health procedures and the strict medical protocol adopted by the committee and the relevant authorities in the State of Qatar.
The delegation affirmed that the readiness and expected success is not strange for Qatar, especially as the competitions come under difficult circumstances represented by COVID-19, underlining Qatar’s successful hosting of events, the last of which was the AFC Champions League competitions for West Asian clubs.
The AFC delegation has been in Doha for several days to inspect all arrangements related to the tournament by communicating with the LOC and the working committees under its umbrella, and to learn about all the procedures that contribute to the success of the competition.

الدوحة: تفقد وفد الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم الملاعب التي ستستضيف منافسات بطولة دوري أبطال آسيا لأندية شرق القارة والتي تنطلق منافساتها في الدوحة بعد غد /الأربعاء/ وتستمر حتى 13 ديسمبر المقبل، حيث تتنافس الفرق المشاركة للتأهل إلى نهائي دوري أبطال آسيا في مواجهة بطل غرب القارة فريق بيرسبوليس الإيراني في 19 من الشهر القادم في الدوحة.
وجاءت زيارة وفد الاتحاد الآسيوي لملاعب البطولة وفقاً لمهامه التنظيمية الرئيسة، كما عقد الوفد عدّة اجتماعات مع مسؤولي اللجنة المحلية المنظمة ، وكانت هناك زيارات أخرى للفنادق المخصصة للمنتخبات ومسؤولي الاتحاد الآسيوي وحكام البطولة.
وأشاد وفد الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم بالاستعدادات والتحضيرات النهائية التي اتخذت لاستقبال الحدث القاري الكبير والجاهزية الكبيرة التي عليها ملاعب البطولة وهي: استاد خليفة الدولي واستاد المدينة التعليمية واستاد الجنوب وهي ملاعب بطولة كأس العالم 2022 قطر، فضلاً عن ملعب استاد جاسم بن حمد بنادي السد الرياضي.
وثمن الوفد الآسيوي الجهود الكبيرة التي بذلتها اللجنة المحلية المنظمة والتي لم تدخر جهداً في توفير كافة المتطلبات الخاصة في منافسات أندية شرق آسيا وفقاً لأعلى المعايير العالمية، مشيداً في الوقت نفسه بالإجراءات الصحية والبروتوكول الطبي الصارم المعتمد الذي تتبعه اللجنة المنظمة والجهات ذات الصلة في دولة قطر.
وأكد الوفد أن “هذه الجاهزية والنجاح المرتقب الذي نتوقعه ليس بغريبٍ على قطر، لاسيما أن المنافسات تأتي في ظل ظروف صعبة تتمثل في /كوفيد- 19 / ولكن قطر عودتنا على الاستضافات الناجحة دائماً وكانت آخرها منافسات دوري أبطال آسيا لأندية غرب القارة”.
ويتواجد وفد الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم في الدوحة منذ عدة أيام لمباشرة كافة الترتيبات التي تتعلق بالبطولة من خلال التواصل مع اللجنة المحلية المنظمة واللجان العاملة تحت مظلتها والوقوف على كافة الإجراءات التي تسهم في نجاح المنافسات.
