Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has made it clear that the use of smart meters will not cause any increase in bills for monthly consumption.
“We would like to note to the esteemed subscribers that the use of smart meters will not cause any increase in bills for monthly consumption,” the corporation said in a tweet on its official Twitter account.
“Smart meters are accurate and efficient, and in turn they automatically send the required consumption information over the network without having to be read manually by anyone.
Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) and Vodafone Qatar have announced a partnership aimed at digitizing Qatar’s utility industry by launching smart meters supported by the Internet of Things across the country.

أوضحت المؤسسة العامة القطرية للكهرباء والماء (كهرماء) أن استخدام العدادات الذكية لن يُحدث أي ارتفاع في الفواتير مقابل الاستهلاك الشهري .
وقالت المؤسسة – في تغريدة على حسابها الرسمي بموقع تويتر – “نود أن ننوه للسادة المشتركين بأن استخدام العدادات الذكية لن يُحدث أي ارتفاع في الفواتير مقابل الاستهلاك الشهري”.
وأضافت: تمتاز العدادات الذكية بالدقة والفعالية العالية، حيث تقوم بدورها بإرسال المعلومات المطلوبة عن الاستهلاك آلياً عبر الشبكة دون الحاجة إلى قراءتها يدوياً من جانب أي شخص.
كانت المؤسسة العامة القطرية للكهرباء والماء “كهرماء” وفودافون قطر قد أعلنا عن قيام شراكةٍ بينهما تهدف إلى رقمنة صناعة المرافق في قطر عبر إطلاق عداداتٍ ذكية مدعومة بإنترنت الأشياء في جميع أنحاء البلاد.
