Doha: Dr. Soha Al Bayat, head of vaccination at the Department of Health Protection and Transitional Disease Control at the Ministry of Public Health, stressed the need for official proof with Coronavirus recoveries to receive the privileges of vaccine recipients for 9 months from the date of their infection, stressing that there is a very small percentage that is exempted from vaccination.

In an interview with Qatar Tv’s “Social Distance” program on Monday, Dr. Soha Al Bayat said that those who have recovered from Coronavirus can access “MyHealth” website and print an official extract proving that they have contracted the disease and have recovered from it to obtain the privileges of vaccine recipients within nine months of the date of their infection.

“We don’t want the recoveries to fail to vaccinate and we don’t know how immune they are,” she said. Stressing that the previous infection does not mean full protection, people who recovered are more likely to be infected again, unlike the vaccinated who have a lower chance.”

“There is a difference between who received the vaccine and who didn’t, so that we encourage the person who have recovered from Corona to vaccinate, but there is currently a study of the situation of the recoveries,” she said in remarks to not putting the golden frame on the recoveries EHTERAZ app status.

When asked, “Why do we give them the same privileges as the vaccinated?” she answered: “Because they have immunity, but at the same time we call on him to speed up vaccination, not postpone it until after 9 months, there are recoveries who are quick to take the vaccine because they don’t want to repeat the experience of the disease,” she said.

Vaccination is safe
Dr. Al Bayat stressed that vaccination is safe for the protection of oneself and others, and for pregnant women and children, noting that Pfizer vaccine has been adopted and proven safe for the age group of 12-15 years and has received recognition from several bodies and has been adopted in Qatar, and we started vaccinating this group a week ago, and pregnant women can reserve an appointment and get the vaccine.

Vaccine-exempt
The head of the vaccination department also stressed that the more vaccination the more difficult it becomes to transmit from person to person, and there are those who have chronic diseases who are not exempt from the vaccine, stressing that very small groups are exempt from vaccination. Less than 1% of the world’s population.

She pointed out that those exempted from taking the vaccine are those who have a confirmed and scientifically proven allergy from a component of the vaccine or have a significant allergic reaction to the vaccine, not minor symptoms, we are talking about allergies of the vaccine that led to hospitalization in which case we do not risk giving them the second dose.

“People who are already excluded are small in number and we encourage the rest to take the vaccine and we don’t force anyone, and when we get to a sufficient percentage of the number of vaccine recipients, those who have not received the vaccine will enjoy the same privileges as the rest of the vaccinated, but the difference is that they will delay the process of reaching this percentage.”

She pointed out that the privileges at this stage for those who received the vaccine is not a punishment for those who have not been vaccinated but protection for them, we have exceeded the first phase of coverage of vaccinations and exceeded 2.5 million doses in Qatar and did not reach the sufficient rate, and we must reach coverage of up to 80% of society at least so that we can say that life is returning to normal.

الدوحة: أكدت الدكتورة سهى البيات، رئيس قسم التطعيمات في إدارة حماية الصحة ومكافحة الأمراض الانتقالية بوزارة الصحة العامة، ضرورة وجود إثبات رسمي مع المتعافين من فيروس كورونا لحصولهم على امتيازات المطعمين لمدة 9 شهور من تاريخ إصابتهم، مشددة على أن هناك نسبة ضئيلة جداً يجرى إعفاؤها من الحصول على اللقاح .

وقالت الدكتورة سهى البيات – في مقابلة مع برنامج “المسافة الاجتماعية” على تليفزيون قطر يوم الاثنين – إن المتعافين من فيروس كورونا يمكنهم الدخول على موقع “صحتي” وطباعة مستخرج رسمي يثبت إصابتهم بالمرض وتعافيهم منه ليحصلوا على امتيازات المطعمين خلال 9 شهور من تاريخ إصابتهم بالمرض.

ودعت رئيس قسم التطعيمات، المتعافين من كورونا إلى الحصول على التطعيم، قائلة: لا نريد للمتعافين أن يتقاعسوا عن التطعيم ولا نعرف درجة المناعة المتكونة لديهم.. مشددة على أن الإصابة السابقة لا تعني الحماية الكاملة، فالمتعافون من المحتمل أن يصابوا مرة أخرى بنسبة أكبر، بعكس المتطعمين التي نسبة إصاباتهم أقل .

وحول عدم وضع الإطار الذهبي على تطبيق احتراز للمتعافي، قالت د. البيات: هناك فرق بين المطعم وغير المطعم، حتى نشجع المتعافي من كورونا على التطعيم، إلا أن هناك دراسة حالياً لوضع المتعافين.

وحين سُئلت “لماذا نعطيه نفس امتيازات المطعمين؟”، قالت الدكتورة: “لأن لديه مناعة، لكننا ندعوه في نفس الوقت إلى الإسراع في التطعيم، وعدم تأجيله إلى ما بعد 9 شهور، هناك متعافون يسرعون في أخذ اللقاح لأنهم لا يريدون تكرار تجربة المرض.”

التطعيم آمن
وأكدت د. البيات أن التطعيم آمن لحماية النفس والغير، وللحوامل والأطفال، مشيرة وتم اعتماد لقاح فايزر وأثبت سلامته من 12 – 15 سنة وحصل على اعتراف من عدة هيئات وتم اعتماده في قطر، وقد ابتدأنا منذ أسبوع في تطعيم هذه الفئة، كما أن المرأة الحامل تاخذ موعداً وتحصل على اللقاح.

المعفيون من اللقاح
كما أكدت رئيس قسم التطعيمات أنه كلما ازداد التطعيم كلما وجد الفيروس صعوبة في الانتقال من شخص إلى آخر، وهناك من لديهم أمراض مزمنة وهم غير معافيين من اللقاح، مشددة على أن فئات ضيئلة جدا معفية من التطعيم. أقل من 1% من سكان العالم.

وأشارت إلى أن المعفيين من أخذ اللقاح هم الذين لديهم حساسية مؤكدة ومثبتة علمياً من أحد مكونات اللقاح أو أصيبوا برد فعل تحسسي كبير من اللقاح، وليس أعراض بسيطة، فنحن نتحدث عن حساسية من اللقاح أدت للدخول للمستشفى وفي هذه الحالة لا نجازف بإعطائهم الجرعة الثانية.

وأضافت: الناس المستثناة فعلياً نسبة ضيئلة ونشجع الباقيين على أخذ اللقاح ولا نجبر أحداً وعندما نصل إلى نسبة كافية من عدد متلقي اللقاح سيتمتع من لم يتلقوا اللقاح بنفس امتيازات المتطعمين ولكن الفرق أنهم سيأخرون عملية بلوغ هذه النسبة.

وأشارت إلى أن الامتيازات في هذه المرحلة لمن حصلوا على اللقاح ليس عقاباً لمن لم يتطعم بل حماية له، فنحن تجاوزنا المرحلة الأولى من تغطية التطعيمات وتجاوزنا 2.5 مليون جرعة في قطر ولم نصل للنسبة الكافية، ويجب أن نصل إلى تغطية تصل إلى 80 % من المجتمع على الاقل لكي نستطيع أن نقول أن الحياة تعود إلى طبيعتها.
