– الذهاب إلى السينما

لا يمكن السماح لرئيس الولايات المتحدة بالذهاب إلى السينما، وإنّما يُحضر فيلمًا إلى البيت الأبيض ويستمتع بمشاهدته، بحسب ما أشار إليه بينسكر.

 – الخروج لتناول العشاء

خروج الرئيس لتناول العشاء يعدّ من بين الأنشطة المسموح بها إلى حدٍّ ما، على الرغم من ضرورة التنسيق مسبقًا مع الخدمة السرية حتى يتمكنوا من تأمين المطعم.

– فتح النوافذ

لا يستطيع رئيس الولايات المتحدة الأميركية حتى فتح نوافذ البيت الأبيض في يوم ربيعي جميل. وفي لقاء مع الإعلامي ستيفن كولبير، قالت السيدة الأولى السابقة ميشيل أوباما “أريد أن أمارس أشياء بسيطة، على غرار فتح النافذة”، وذلك مع اقتراب نهاية ولاية زوجها. ولأسباب أمنية، لا يمكن فتح أية نافذة سواء في البيت الأبيض أو في السيارة. 

– تنظيف المكتب

أشارت الدكتورة ماستراشيو إلى أنّ الرئيس لا يُشجع على تنظيف مكتبه أو التخلص من الرسائل. فبموجب قانون السجلات الرئاسية، يُكلف الرئيس بالاحتفاظ بأشياء لا يحتفظ بها الشخص العادي، وهو ما يشمل رسائل البريد الإلكتروني. إضافة لذلك، ينبغي على موظفي البيت الأبيض فرز كل الوثائق قبل رميها وتنظيف المكتب بدقة

متى تلبي الخدمة السرية رغبة الرئيس؟

قال رونان إنه على الرغم من أن الخدمة السرية يمكنها تقديم المشورة، وفي بعض الحالات، فرض أوامرها بشدة؛ إلا أنها تظل في نهاية المطاف مسؤولة أمام الرئيس
