Qatari Cadres are Able to Professionally Organize International, Local Tournaments

Doha:President of Qatar Equestrian Federation and Asian Equestrian Federation and Chairman of the Longines Hathab Organising Committee Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al Attiyah affirmed that the Qatar Equestrian Federation has a high-level technical cadre with the ability to well and professionally organize any championship at all global, regional and local levels.

In an open meeting with representatives of the Qatari media, Al Attiyah indicated that the “Longines Hathab” championship, organized by the Qatar Equestrian Federation in partnership with Al Shaqab for the fourth consecutive season, has achieved great success from one version to the other, and has received great attention and helped a lot in the development of the level of the horsemen participating in it, through its continuity throughout the season in 12 rounds.

He said that the performance of the horsemen in the Longines Hathab Championship also contributed to the high level of the horses in which they participate because the advanced level of the horsemen made it necessary for them to strive to possess high-quality horses capable of giving them victory in the championship. The artistic, material, and media value of the championship made the horsemen strive to achieve many goals, he continued.

He added that the tournament contributed to discovering new talents and giving the horsemen additional experience and also helped feed the Qatari teams with horsemen who can compete in all world championships, to achieve titles because Hathab is held in an atmosphere similar to the global atmosphere.

The “Longines Hathab” championship has become a real imprint, as it helped provide a suitable environment for the young horsemen “future horsemen”. It has also succeeded in bringing sponsors from local companies and international companies, as the tournament has become one of the best and most successful tournaments in the region and has many benefits for the Federation, horsemen, and sponsors, he added.

Regarding the partnership between the Equestrian Federation and Al Shaqab, the President of the Equestrian Federation said that the partnership between the Federation and Al Shaqab until now has 4 years and it is a fruitful partnership as Al Shaqab has invested the capabilities it enjoys from international facilities, and the joint work between them helped to provide a good environment for work and the success of this partnership is evidenced by the success of all the events that they organize together.

On the calendar of the Qatar Equestrian Federation for the new season, Al Attiyah said that the calendar announced by the federation includes many international tournaments, but its establishment depends on the circumstances that will be in the period of its establishment and launch in light of the Covid-19 pandemic as there are international tournaments that the Federation intends to organize.

On the upcoming participation of the Qatari Federation horsemen, Chairman of the Longines Hathab Organising Committee Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al Attiyah said that many international championships are waiting for them, the most important of which is the Al Shaqab International Championship that is held in Qatar, next to the “Longines Hathab” championship, which will be also held in Al Shaqab next year.

On the formation of the first Qatari equestrian team, Al Attiyah stressed that change is a natural thing in national teams, through the levels provided by the horsemen, but some horsemen have long experience with the national team, which they gained thanks to the continuous international participation and good preparation by the Equestrian Federation to provide outdoor camps, such horsemen will inevitably be in the national team during the coming period, most notably Bassem Mohammed, Salman Al Emadi and Hamad bin Ali Al Attiyah.

Al Attiyah explained that the local championship and its continuation had a good effect in preparing the Qatari horsemen, pointing out that the federation will organize a long camp for its horsemen starting from May 2021 in the Netherlands, in preparation for their participation in the Asian Equestrian Championship that will be held in China in 2022.

He added that “The Amir Sword” tournament is the most expensive tournament that will be organized by the federation in the current season, and the competitions will be held in February.

Al Attiyah revealed that the Qatari Federation has a strong women’s team in the dressage competition who gained good experiences through continuous participation in the Longines Hathab. In the future, the federation will work to prepare the team as required, to provide ideal conditions for it to represent the State of Qatar in the Asian championship, pointing out that the equestrian sport in Qatar has a distinguished history at the international and local levels, thanks to the great support provided by the wise leadership in the country.

He also indicated that the Qatar Equestrian Federation is working to provide trainers with international experience from various countries of the world to prepare strong teams and horsemen who can compete strongly, and continue the successful march of Qatar teams in world championships. Al Attiyah also explained that the federation has now contracted with the French coach Cedric Jacques, to work in the federation with the continued supervision of the international coach Jan Tops in the training of the first team.

Al Attiyah expressed his confidence that Qatar can organize and succeed in any tournament it organizes locally, and that the Qatari file to host the Asian Games in 2030 will be one of the strongest files and has the advantage over winning against its competitors.

الدوحة: أكد السيد حمد بن عبد الرحمن العطية رئيس الاتحادين الآسيوي والقطري للفروسية رئيس اللجنة العليا لبطولة /لونجين هذاب/، أن الاتحاد القطري للفروسية يمتلك كادرا فنيا على مستوى عال لديه القدرة على التنظيم الجيد والاحترافي لأي بطولة في جميع المستويات العالمية والإقليمية والمحلية.

وأشار العطية في لقاء مفتوح مع ممثلي الأجهزة الإعلامية القطرية، إلى أن بطولة / لونجين هذاب / التي ينظمها الاتحاد القطري للفروسية بالشراكة مع الشقب للموسم الرابع على التوالي تحقق النجاح الكبير من نسخة لأخرى، وحظيت باهتمام كبير وساعدت كثيرا في تطور مستوى الفرسان المشاركين فيها وذلك من خلال استمراريتها على مدار الموسم من خلال 12 جولة في كل مرة تحظى باهتمام كبير من قبل كل الجهات المشاركة فيها .

وقال إن مستوى أداء الفرسان في بطولة / لونجين هذاب/ ساهم أيضا في ارتفاع مستوى الخيل التي يشاركون عليها، لأن المستوى المتطور للفرسان حتم عليهم السعي لامتلاك خيل ذات جودة عالية قادرة على منحهم الفوز في البطولة ،كما أن قيمة البطولة الفنية والمادية والإعلامية جعلت للفرسان العديد من الأهداف يسعون بقوة لتحقيقها .

وأضاف “أن البطولة ساهمت في اكتشاف مواهب جديدة وإكساب الفرسان خبرات إضافية وساعدت أيضا على تغذية المنتخبات القطرية بفرسان لديهم القدرة على التنافس في كل البطولات العالمية، من أجل تحقيق الألقاب لأن /هذاب/ تقام في أجواء تماثل الأجواء العالمية” .

وتابع “أن بطولة / لونجين هذاب / أصبحت لها بصمة حقيقية حيث ساعدت في توفير بيئة مناسبة للفرسان الصغار /فرسان المستقبل/ كما نجحت في جلب الرعاة من شركاتنا المحلية والشركات العالمية، فالبطولة أصبحت من أفضل وأنجح البطولات في المنطقة ولها فوائد عديدة على الاتحاد والفرسان والرعاة” .

وعن الشراكة بين اتحاد الفروسية والشقب، قال رئيس اتحاد الفروسية إن الشراكة بين الاتحاد والشقب إلى الآن لها 4 سنوات وهي شراكة مثمرة حيث استثمر الشقب الإمكانيات التي يتمتع بها من منشآت عالمية ، وساعد العمل المشترك بينهم في توفير بيئة جيدة للعمل ويتضح نجاح هذه الشراكة من خلال نجاح كل الفعاليات التي يقومان بتنظيمها سويا” .

وقال العطية، عن رزنامة الاتحاد القطري للفروسية للموسم الجديد، إن الرزنامة التي أعلنت من قبل الاتحاد تضم العديد من البطولات الدولية ولكن إقامتها تتوقف على الظروف التي ستكون في فترة قيامها وانطلاقها في ظل جائحة / كوفيد – 19/ حيث إن هناك بطولات دولية ينوي الاتحاد تنظيمها.

وعن المشاركة القادمة لفرسان الاتحاد القطري قال السيد حمد بن عبد الرحمن العطية رئيس اتحاد الفروسية، تنتظرهم العديد من البطولات الدولية أهمها بطولة الشقب الدولية التي تقام هنا في قطر بجانب جولة لونجين العالمية التي تقام أيضا في الشقب العام المقبل.

وحول تكوين المنتخب القطري الأول للفروسية أكد العطية أن التغير شيء طبيعي في المنتخبات الوطنية، وذلك من خلال المستويات التي يقدمها الفرسان ولكن هناك فرسانا لهم خبرات طويلة مع المنتخب اكتسبوها بفضل المشاركة الدولية المستمرة والإعداد الجيد من قبل الاتحاد بتوفير المعسكرات الخارجية ومثل هؤلاء الفرسان حتما سيتواجدون في المنتخب خلال الفترة المقبلة، وأبرزهم باسم محمد وسلمان العمادي وحمد بن على العطية.

وأوضح أن البطولة المحلية واستمرارها كان له أثر جيد في إعداد فرسان قطر، لافتا إلى أن الاتحاد سيقوم بتنظيم معسكر طويل لفرسانه بداية من شهر مايو من العام 2021 المقبل بهولندا، استعدادا لمشاركتهم في البطولة الآسيوية للفروسية التي ستقام في الصين في العام 2022 .

وأضاف أن سيف سمو أمير البلاد المفدى لقفز الحواجز هو أغلى البطولات التي سينظمها الاتحاد في الموسم الحالي، وستقام منافساته في شهر فبراير المقبل .

وكشف العطية أن لدى الاتحاد القطري فريقا نسائيا قويا في مسابقة الترويض اكتسب خبرات جيدة من خلال المشاركة المستمرة في بطولة / لونجين هذاب / وسيعمل الاتحاد في المستقبل على إعداده بالشكل المطلوب، وذلك لتوفير الظروف المثالية له من أجل تمثيل دولة قطر في البطولة الآسيوية، لافتا إلى أن رياضة الفروسية في قطر لها تاريخ متميز في الصعيد الدولي والمحلي، وذلك بفضل الدعم الكبير الذي تقدمه القيادة الرشيدة في الدولة .

كما بين أن الاتحاد القطري للفروسية يعمل على توفير مدربين أصحاب خبرات عالمية من مختلف دول العالم لإعداد منتخبات قوية وفرسان لديهم القدرة على المنافسة بقوة، لمواصلة المسيرة الناجحة لمنتخبات قطر في البطولات العالمية، موضحا أن الاتحاد الآن تعاقد مع المدرب الفرنسي سيدرك جاكوز، للعمل في الاتحاد مع استمرار إشراف المدرب العالمي ايان توبس في تدريب المنتخب الأول .

وعبر العطية عن ثقته في أن قطر قادرة على تنظيم وإنجاح أي بطولة تنظمها على أرضها، وإن الملف القطري لاستضافة دورة الألعاب الآسيوية في العام 2030، سيكون من أقوى الملفات ولديه الأفضلية على الفوز على منافسيه .
