Qatar attends fourth international meet for World Balance

Havana: The State of Qatar is taking part in the Fourth International Conference for World Balance, held in Cuba between January 28 to 30.

Qatar will be represented by Minister of State H E Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kawari presiding over a delegation from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) and Qatar Foundation through the Education Above All with its different initiatives.

The conference brings together more than 1,000 participants from around the world, part of the Jose Marti Project of International Solidarity sponsored by Unesco and has the support of the Organization of Iberian American States for Education, Science and Culture.

The conference will discuss several topics on youth, technology, environment, diplomacy, civil society, women, peace, education, culture and science, sports in the world, new media and others.

Dr Al Kawari is expected to give a lecture, part of the keynote speakers, on Qatar’s role in world balance under the title of cultural diplomacy for world balance. The State of Qatar will also participate with work papers in other workshops presented by the participating entities which are the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, SC and Qatar Foundation.

تشارك دولة قطر في المؤتمر الرابع للتوازن الدولي، المنعقد في كوبا خلال الفترة من 28 حتى 31 يناير الحالي.

ويمثّل الدولة خلال المؤتمر، سعادة الدكتور حمد بن عبدالعزيز الكواري وزير الدولة، على رأس وفد من وزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي، واللجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث، ومؤسسة قطر بمشروع التعليم فوق الجميع ومختلف مبادراته. ويجمع المؤتمر أكثر من ألف مشارك من كل أنحاء العالم، ويندرج ضمن «مشروع جوزي مارتي للتضامن الدولي»، تحت رعاية منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلم والثقافة (اليونسكو)، وبدعم من منظمة الدول الأيبيرية الأميركية للتربية والثقافة والعلوم.

ويناقش المؤتمر عدة محاور حول: الشباب، والتكنولوجيا، والبيئة، والدبلوماسية، والمجتمع المدني، والمرأة، والسلام، والتربية والثقافة والعلوم، والرياضة في العالم، والإعلام الجديد، وغيرها.

ومن المتوقع أن يلقي سعادة الدكتور حمد بن عبدالعزيز الكواري وزير الدولة، ضمن المتحدثين الرئيسيين، محاضرة عن دور قطر في التوازن الدولي بعنوان «الدبلوماسية الثقافية من أجل توازن العالم». كما ستشارك دولة قطر بأوراق عمل في الورشات الأخرى من الجهات المشاركة من وزارة التعليم العالي ولجنة المشاريع والإرث ومؤسسة قطر.;
