Beijing: Yesterday, Sunday, the authorities in the “Xinjiang” region announced the highest level of response to public health emergencies, after tests showed that 137 people were infected with the emerging coronavirus. And China Central Television “CCTV” said that all the cases that were discovered in the remote city of Kashgar in the west of the country, were without apparent symptoms, as none of those who tested positive for the virus had cough or fever.

The deputy director of the regional health committee said that the 137 people are subject to quarantine and medical supervision in the hospital. All of the cases have some connection to the city’s Sancon factory

A 17-year-old girl, whose parents also work in the factory, was also tested positive earlier this week.

“The Chinese National Health Commission has sent a working group to the region to lead the response efforts,” Xinhua news agency said.

Most of the flights were canceled at Kashgar airport at the weekend, according to the Chinese headline Daily news portal.The city of Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang, witnessed an outbreak of the new Coronavirus last July, which triggered strict lockdown measures, as residents stayed at their homes and the city was isolated from the rest of the country.

بكين: أعلنت السلطات في منطقة “شينجيانج” يوم الأمس الأحد أعلى مستوى للرد على حالات الطوارئ الصحية العامة، بعد أن أظهرت الاختبارات إصابة 137 شخصا بفيروس كورونا المستجد.

وقال تلفزيون الصين المركزي “سي.سي.تي.في” إن جميع الحالات التي تم اكتشافها في مدينة كاشجار النائية غرب البلاد، بدون أعراض ظاهرة، حيث أنه لم يعان أي من هؤلاء الذين أثبتت الاختبارات إصابتهم بالفيروس من سعال ولا حمى.

وقال نائب مدير اللجنة الصحية الإقليمية إن الأشخاص الـ137 يخضعون لحجر صحي وإشراف طبي في المستشفى. وجميع الحالات لها بعض الصلة بمصنع “سانكون” بالمدينة

وأثبتت الاختبارات أيضا إصابة فتاة17/ عاما” يعمل والداها بالمصنع أيضا في وقت سابق من هذا الأسبوع.

وقالت وكالة أنباء الصين الجديدة “شينخوا” إن لجنة الصحة الوطنية الصينية أرسلت مجموعة عمل إلى المنطقة لقيادة جهود الاستجابة.

وتم إلغاء معظم الرحلات بمطار “كاشجار” في مطلع الأسبوع، طبقا لما ذكرته بوابة “هيدلاين ديلي” الإخبارية الصينية.

وكانت مدينة أورومتشي، عاصمة شينجيانج، قد شهدت تفشيا لفيروس كورونا المستجد في يوليو الماضي، مما أثار إجراءات الإغلاق الصارم، حيث التزم السكان منازلهم وتم عزل المدينة عن باقي البلاد.
