London: The Qatar-bred AL SHAAMIKH (Amer x Afraah) made it two from two at Wolverhampton, when winning the Emirates Breeders Novice Stakes for his owner and breeder Mohammed Bin Fahad Al Attiyah.
In scoring his back-to-back win, the three-year-old colt managed also to give his trainer Jessica Quinlan another important win in her career as a trainer, especially as he was the first runner ever for a new UK-based trainer when he won his debut on Sept 5, presenting his and her credentials firmly.
On his previous start for his career debut, the grey colt won over seven furlongs. This time, he stopped up to the distance of 1,800m.
He travelled strongly in mid-division under jockey Daniel Muscutt before coming with his run on the outside. He flew to line to land the spoils and stay unbeaten with a wide margin victory.
The official finishing distance was five and a half lengths. DERGHAM ATHBAH (GB) (AF Albahar) was second for trainer Philip Collington and jockey Robbie Downey. LOOLWA (GB) (Al Saoudi) was a further half-length back in third for the same trainer of the runner-up and jockey Jim Crowley.

وبفوزه اليوم يؤكد المهر الأزرق /الشامخ/ من جديد جودة وتميز الإنتاج القطري، ويهدي مدربته فوزا مهما آخر في مسيرتها في عالم التدريب، لا سيما أنه كان أول جواد تشرف على تدريبه عندما أحرز فوزه الأول في شوط لمسافة 1400متر مطلع الشهر الماضي ليهديها النجاح في اختبارها الأول .
وقدم /الشامخ/ أداء قويا ليحتل المقدمة وينفرد بها تماما، محرزا الفوز بفارق كبير بلغ 5 أطوال ونصف، وجاء في المركز الثاني المهر /ضرغام النايف/ بإشراف المدرب فيليب كولنغتن وقيادة الخيال روبي داوني، وخلفه في المركز الثالث وبفارق نصف طول آخر المهرة /لولوة/ بإشراف نفس مدرب الوصيف وبقيادة الخيال جيم كرولي.
