Ministry official clarifies what is being circulated on social media about parks entry tariffs

Doha: An official source at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment confirmed to Al-Raya that the Minister of Municipality’s decision No. (247) of 2020 regarding the determination of garden services fees is limited to Al Khor Park, and he notes without deciding the possibility of imposing other fees on gardens by a decision of the Minister. He pointed out that the decision represents an amendment to Resolution No. (43) of 2005, which imposes entry fees on the parks and Al Wakra, and the Zoo, which is now closed for renewal.

He noted that the new decision imposes entrance fees on Al Khor Park only at a rate of 15 riyals for the public, compared to 10 riyals for children under 10 years old, as well as for people with disabilities, and the value rises to 50 riyals during events and festivals, 50 riyals for animal feeding service, and 5 riyals per person and free For people with disabilities to ride the park train and the games that are determined by the Minister’s decision.

He pointed out that the decision issued in 2005 set a fee of one riyal to enter the park, in exchange for 5 riyals to enter the zoo for adults, for two riyals for children under the age of 18 years, and the decision included imposing a fee of 1 riyal to enter Al Wakra Park, and a riyal for other parks that are determined by the ministry.

He pointed out that the new decision eliminated the fees for the closed zoo, as well as the fees for Al Wakra and Al Muntazah parks, with the addition of fees for Al Khor Park, as well as exempting people with disabilities from the fees for some services.

He stressed that the Ministry of Municipality seeks to advance services and develop parks to be an outlet for families, and not seek to raise money. He said: In the past, there were entrance fees for 3 parks in addition to the Olympic Park, and now the fees are limited to the Al Khor Park garden, after it has been developed and rehabilitated to be an outlet with integrated entertainment services for families.

وأشار إلى أن القرار يمثل تعديلًا للقرار رقم (43) لسنة 2005 والذي يفرض رسوم دخول على حديقتي المنتزه والوكرة، وحديقة الحيوان المغلقة الآن للتجديد.

ونوه بأن القرار الجديد يفرض رسوم دخول على حديقة منتزه الخور فقط بواقع 15 ريالًا للجمهور، مقابل 10 ريالات للأطفال أقل من 10 سنوات، وكذلك لذوي الإعاقة، وترتفع القيمة إلى 50 ريالًا خلال الفعاليات والمهرجانات، و50 ريالًا مقابل خدمة إطعام الحيوانات، و5 ريالات للفرد ومجانًا لذوي الإعاقة لركوب قطار المنتزه والألعاب التي تحدد بقرار الوزير.

وأشار إلى أن القرار الصادر في 2005 حدد رسومًا قيمتها ريال لدخول حديقة المنتزه، مقابل 5 ريالات لدخول حديقة الحيوان للراشدين مقابل ريالين للأطفال دون سن 18 سنة، وشمل القرار فرض رسم 1 ريال لدخول حديقة الوكرة، وريال للحدائق الأخرى التي تحددها الوزارة.

وأشار إلى أن القرار الجديد حذف رسوم حديقة الحيوان المغلقة وكذلك رسوم حديقتي الوكرة والمنتزه، مع إضافة رسوم لمنتزه الخور، كما استثنى ذوي الإعاقة من رسوم بعض الخدمات.

وأكد أن وزارة البلدية تسعى للنهوض بالخدمات وتطوير الحدائق لتكون متنفسًا للعائلات، ولا تسعى لجمع الأموال.

وقال: في السابق كانت هناك رسوم دخول ل 3 حدائق بالإضافة للحديقة الأولمبية، والآن اقتصرت الرسوم على حديقه منتزه الخور، بعد تطويرها وتأهيلها لتكون متنفسًا متكامل الخدمات الترفيهية للعائلات.

ويعتبر منتزه الخور للعائلات من أهم وأكبر الحدائق والمنتزهات في دولة قطر، ومتنفسًا لجميع سكان الدولة، ويتميز بالمسطحات الخضراء والأشجار الكبيرة، ويضم أجزاء بيئية وترفيهية وقاعة محاضرات مدرجة، ومنطقة ألعاب في الجزء الخدمي الترفيهي وبحيرة صناعية محاطة بأعداد كبيرة من الأشجار والنباتات المعمرة والزهور الموسمية.

وشهد منتزه الخور للعائلات إقبالًا كبيرًا من المواطنين والمقيمين منذ فتح الباب خلال المرحلة الرابعة من خطة الرفع وسط التزام بالإجراءات الاحترازية التي حددتها وزارة البلدية والبيئة من التزام بارتداء الكمامات والمحافظة على مسافة التباعد الاجتماعي إلى جانب «احتراز الأخضر» كشرط للدخول والتي تستقبل الزوار يوميًا من الرابعة عصرًا وحتى العاشرة مساءً لكافة المواطنين والمقيمين خلال الفترة الحالية.

وشهد المنتزه تطويرًا أخيرًا في يناير الماضي، تضمن أعمال التطوير وتوسعة حديقة الحيوان داخل المنتزه وإضافة العديد من الأقسام والنوعيات المختلفة من الحيوانات، مع توفير أعلى معايير الأمن والسلامة للزوار ليكون المنتزه مقصدًا ترفيهيًا رئيسيًا، وتحتوي حديقة منتزه الخور للعائلات على مسرح روماني مكشوف يتسع ل 400 شخص لإقامة الحفلات والفعاليات، ومتحف يتكون من صالة عرض وعدد من القاعات، بالإضافة إلى منطقتين لألعاب الأطفال مغطاتين بالكامل بأرضية مطاطية بمساحة حوالي 4000 متر مربع، ومنطقة خارجية للألعاب الرياضية ومنطقة تزحلق بالألواح، ويُوجد به 42 نوعًا من الأشجار والشجيرات والنباتات المختلفة.
