UDST Receives “Great Place to Work” Certification

Doha: University of Doha for Science and Technology has been certified as a Great Place to Work after a thorough and independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work Middle East – the global authority on workplace culture.
The certification recognizes employers who create an outstanding employee experience. It is attained by successfully completing a two-step evaluation process which includes an anonymous employee survey and a thorough questionnaire about the workforce.
UDST was found deserving of this certification because it cultivates a dynamic where employees are encouraged to seek collaboration, ingenuity and self development all while enjoying a healthy work-life balance, in addition to receiving competitive benefits, unique skill development opportunities, and other related incentives that contribute to advancing the Universitys stature and the academic excellence of its students, the University said in a press release.
UDST also prides itself on creating a positive work environment that welcomes cultural diversity, creativity and collaboration. This dynamic has been instrumental in attracting and sustaining a talented and creative workforce that is passionate about making a positive change in society and in the development of young minds, it added.
President of UDST Dr. Salem Al Naemi was pleased with the recent recognition, saying: “We are the first University in Qatar to be certified as a Great Place to Work, and we are proud of our employees who work together to create an environment where trust, respect and camaraderie are key.” Human Capital Director at UDST Nasser Al Hajri also reflected on the uniqueness of UDSTs work environment, commenting: “Our employees have the distinct experience of working in a University campus that is beating with life. In conjunction with an exemplary office environment, our staff is also exposed to thriving events, conferences and varsity competitions.”

الدوحة: حصلت جامعة الدوحة للعلوم والتكنولوجيا على اعتماد “مكان رائع للعمل” المرموق، وذلك بعد تحليل شامل ومستقل أجرته مؤسسة “غريت بليس تو ورك” والمعروفة باسم الهيئة العالمية لثقافة بيئة العمل.
وتعترف هذه الشهادة بأصحاب العمل الذين يخلقون تجربة موظف رائعة، كما تساعد الباحثين عن عمل في تحديد المؤسسات التي تتمتع بثقافة عمل عظيمة، فضلا عن منح أصحاب العمل ميزة الأفضلية في التوظيف من خلال توفير التحقق المعترف به عالميا والمدعوم بالأبحاث لتجربة الموظف الرائعة.
وقالت جامعة الدوحة للعلوم والتكنولوجيا إنها استحقت هذه الشهادة لأنها تنشئ بيئة تشجع الموظفين على التعاون والإبداع والتطوير الذاتي، مع توفير توافق متزن وصحي للحياة العملية والاجتماعية، بالإضافة إلى الحصول على مزايا تنافسية وفرص فريدة لتنمية المهارات، وغير ذلك من الأمور ذات الصلة التي تهدف إلى الارتقاء بمكانة الجامعة والمساهمة في التفوق الأكاديمي لطلابها.
كما عبرت عن فخرها بخلق بيئة عمل إيجابية ترحب بالتنوع الثقافي والإبداع والتعاون، واعتبر ت هذا الوسط هو السر في تكوين قوة عاملة موهوبة ومبدعة تسعى دائما على إحداث تغيير إيجابي في المجتمع وتنمية العقول الشابة.
وأعرب الدكتور سالم بن ناصر النعيمي، رئيس جامعة الدوحة للعلوم والتكنولوجيا، عن سعادته بحصول الجامعة بهذا التقدير، قائلا “نحن أول جامعة في قطر تحصل على شهادة “مكان رائع للعمل”، ونحن فخورون بموظفينا الذين يعملون معا، لإنشاء بيئة مفتاح نجاحها هو الثقة والاحترام والصداقة بين الزملاء” كما تحدث ناصر الهاجري، مدير إدارة الموارد البشرية بجامعة الدوحة للعلوم والتكنولوجيا، عن الطابع الفريد لبيئة العمل في الجامعة، مشيرا إلى أن موظفيها يتمتعون بتجربة مميزة وهي العمل في حرم جامعي ينبض بالحياة. بالاقتران مع وسط مكتبي نموذجي، وأنه بإمكانهم أيضا المشاركة في فعاليات ومؤتمرات ومتابعة بطولات الجامعة الرياضية الشيقة.
