الدوحة: في إطار سباق الشركات العالمية، للوصول إلى لقاحٍ مضاد لكوفيد -19، جاء إعلان مجموعة “جونسون أند جونسون” للصناعات الدوائية، الأسبوع الماضي، عن تعليق التجارب السريرية على لقاحها التجريبي المضاد لفيروس كورونا، الأمر الذي زاد مسألة موعد جاهزية اللقاح ضبابية وغموضًا.

كم عدد اللقاحات التي يعمل عليها العلماء حاليًّا؟

تتابع منظمة الصحة العالمية حاليًّا تطوير 196 لقاحًا، من بينها 42 لقاحًا دخلت مرحلة التجارب الإكلينيكية (السريرية) على البشر، وثمانية لقاحات، في المرحلة الثالثة حيث يتمّ تجربتها على نطاق واسع لاختبار فعاليتها، وفق صحيفة “ذا غارديان” البريطانية”.

موعد الجاهزية

وعن جاهزية اللقاح، قالت رئيسة فريق العمل على اللقاحات في بريطانيا كيت بينغهام: “إنّ هناك “فرصة ضئيلة” لأن يصبح اللقاح جاهزًا بحلول عيد الميلاد. لكنّ الأرجح أن يتأخر حتى أوائل العام المقبل” وفقًا للعربي الجديد.

وفي مسار العمل على لقاح مضاد لكورونا، وبعد الموافقة على استخدام اللقاح، تأتي مرحلة توزيعه على كافة دول العالم، الأمر الذي يواجه عوائق كثيرة، ولعلّ أبرزها الحاجة الكبيرة للقاح، وتصنيع مئات ملايين الجرعات، فضلًا عن مسألة نقلها بطريقة تحافظ على برودتها، وهو ما يلزم ابتكار أساليب فعّالة للحفاظ على نشاط اللقاح وفاعليته، أثناء نقله من بلد المنشأ، بحسب ما تنقل مجلة “ذي إكونوميست”.

وفيما يتعلّق بالحصول على اللقاح، فإنّ الأولويّة عادةً تكون للفئات الأكثر عرضة للإصابة بالمرض، من كبار السنّ، والأشخاص الذين يعانون من أمراض مزمنة ومشاكل صحيّة مثل السكري والسمنة وغيرها، أو للأشخاص الذين يعملون في أماكن تعرّضهم لخطر الإصابة،  مثل العاملين في المستشفيات.

وعن عودة الحياة إلى سيرتها الأولى، فإنّ تقريرًا صدر عن عدد من الباحثين في الجمعية الملكية البريطانية، كشف أنّ الحياة لن تعود مباشرة إلى طبيعتها بعد توزيع اللقاح، وإنما يجب تخفيف القيود المفروضة تدريجيًّا، لأنّ توزيع اللقاح بشكل فعّال قد يحتاج إلى حوالي عام. بحسب ما نقلت العربي الجديد.
