Alexander Zverev Wins ATP Cologne Open

Berlin: Alexander Zverev won an ATP Tour title for the fifth consecutive year on Sunday, defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-3, 6-3 to triumph at the Cologne Indoors on Sunday.

Zverev broke Auger-Aliassime’s serve in the first game of the match to establish early control. Zverev broke in the second at 3-2 and saved two break points in his next service game to hold off a fightback from the Canadian.

World No. 7 has now won three tour-level trophies in Germany and he was dominant for most of the week in his home country. Zverev only lost one set en route to the ATP 250 title, showing an impressive balance of offense and defense to defeat Auger-Aliassime after one hour and 20 minutes.

Zverev, who is now a 12-time tour-level champion, has won 10 of his past 11 matches on hard courts following his run to the US Open final. He is also the first German to triumph on the ATP Tour this year.

وكان الألماني ألكسندر زفيريف تأهل لنهائي البطولة، بعد فوزه على الإسباني أليخاندرو دافيدوفيتش بمجموعتين دون رد بواقع 7-5 و7-6 في نصف النهائي.

في المقابل صعد الكندي فيليكس أوجيه ألياسيم للنهائي، بعد تغلبه على الإسباني روبرتو باوتيستا بمجموعتين مقابل مجموعة واحدة بواقع 6 -3، و1 -6، و6 -3 في مباراة نصف النهائي.
