Doha: Quarantine requirements for all arrivals in Qatar extended to December 31.
“For all arrivals including nationals, residents and visa holders, quarantine requirements are now extended for all arrival dates up to 31 December 2020,” Discover Qatar said on their website.
The Discover Qatar website, through which one must book the hotel for quarantine, is currently showing bookings for November and December.
In December, the website showed more than 30 hotels with a price range of QR 1,950 for a three-star hotel to QR 6,168 for a five-star. The price includes 7-day stay for a single person with all three meals and Mandatory transfer from the airport to the hotel.
Earlier the quarantine requirement was extended till October 31.
Arrivals into Qatar are permitted for Qatari Nationals, their travelling companions, those with a Permanent Resident Card or other exceptionally approved Visa holders.
Pre-approved QID resident permit holders are able to apply to travel to Qatar. You will need to obtain approval to enter Qatar by applying through the Qatar Portal. It will be mentioned on the permit if one has to do home or hotel quarantine.
People coming from low-risk countries (list published by MoPH) can quarantine at home, while others need to do a self-funded hotel quarantine. Hotel for quarantine should be booked through the Discover Qatar website.
“Please do not book a “Welcome Home Package” until you have approval to travel to Qatar, and you know what type of quarantine you will be required to complete,” Discover Qatar mentioned on their website.
There is a daily limit on arrivals entering Qatar and demand is extremely high.
“If you are searching for availability and no hotels are displayed, it is most likely that the daily arrivals limit has been reached. You will need to choose another date,” they added.
Recommended Steps for QID holders and Personal Visit Visa holders
– Visit Qatar Portal to request approval for your Exceptional Entry Permit
– Once approved, check the “Type of Quarantine” stated on your certificate. If this states “Hotel” then you must book a quarantine package hotel from Discover Qatar.
– Check availability for your confirmed flight.
– Book your quarantine package hotel.
– Book your flight.
– Ensure you have copies of your Exceptional Entry Permit and your Discover Qatar Hotel Voucher, as well as your flight documents when you check-in for your flight. If you cannot produce these documents, you may not be able to board your flight. Dates for your arrival and your hotel check-in must match.

ويلزم جميع القادمين إلى دولة قطر من الدول منخفضة الخطورة بإجراء فحص الكشف عن فيروس كورونا فور وصولهم إلى المطار، والتوقيع على تعهد رسمي بالالتزام بالحجر المنزلي لمدة أسبوع، علماً بأن حالة الشخص في تطبيق احتراز ستكون باللون الأصفر أي أنه ملزم بالحجر الصحي.
