QC: More than Million People Have Benefited from “Warm Winter” Campaign

Doha: Qatar Charity (QC) said that it was able to provide aid to more than 1.2 million refugees, displaced persons and needy people in 13 countries, at a total cost of more than QR 57 million, in 6 main areas: comprehensive relief, food supply, shelter and health, in addition to basic and winter needs, social cohesion and livelihoods.
QC confirmed in a statement released Saturday that it will continue its efforts this year to support vulnerable segments to cope with winter risks, which coincides with COVID-19, calling on the good people to take the initiative in supporting campaigns and humanitarian efforts and to contribute providing food, shelter and heating for the most affected groups, especially from refugees and internally displaced persons in a number of countries.
QC said that it has always devoted campaigns to face winter conditions and provide the supplies that refugees and displaced persons need before the severity of the cold, and to extend a helping hand to them.
“Warm Winter” Campaign focused on countries experiencing exceptional circumstances, targeting refugees, displaced persons and the needy in Palestine, Syria, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, India, Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia, Ethiopia and Lebanon in addition to Jordan, Tunisia and Myanmar.
Through the “For Human H4” initiative, in cooperation between the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and Qatar Charity, aid was distributed to refugees in Iraq, Yemen and Jordan at a value of about QR 11 million, in addition to distributing winter bags for orphans in 9 countries, including (winter clothes – blankets – food basket ).
The aid also included the distribution of food and comprehensive relief kits to the families of Rohingya refugees in India for 4,792 people, while basic winter needs were provided to 19,658 people in Bosnia, Kyrgyzstan, Kosovo and Albania. In India, food baskets and winter clothes for the poor and needy were distributed, benefiting 33,830 people.

الدوحة: قالت /قطر الخيرية/ إنها تمكنت العام الماضي من تقديم مساعداتها لأكثر من 1.2 مليون شخص من اللاجئين والنازحين والمحتاجين في 13 دولة، بتكلفة إجمالية تقدر بأكثر من 57 مليون ريال، شاملة 6 مجالات رئيسية هي الإغاثة الشاملة والإمداد الغذائي والإيواء والصحة، بالإضافة إلى الاحتياجات الأساسية والشتوية والتماسك الاجتماعي وسبل العيش.
وأكدت في بيان لها اليوم أنها ستواصل جهودها هذا العام لدعم الشرائح الضعيفة في مواجهة مخاطر الشتاء والذي يتزامن هذا العام مع جائحة كورونا.. داعية أهل الخير إلى المبادرة في دعم الحملات والجهود الإنسانية والإسهام في توفير الاحتياجات من الغذاء ولوازم الإيواء والتدفئة للفئات الأكثر تضررا خاصة من اللاجئين والنازحين في عدد من الدول.
وقالت إنها دأبت على تخصيص حملات مواجهة برد الشتاء لتوفير المستلزمات التي يحتاجها اللاجئون والنازحون قبل اشتداد وطأة البرد، ومد يد العون للفئات الأكثر تضررا، حيث أطلقت حملة الشتاء للعام 2019 – 2020 تحت شعار “دفء وسلام”، من مخيمات اللاجئين السوريين والفلسطينيين بالأردن، وشهدت إقبالا كبيرا من المحسنين والمحسنات من أهل قطر الكرام.
وركزت حملة قطر الخيرية “دفء وسلام” على الدول التي تشهد ظروفا استثنائية، حيث استهدفت اللاجئين والنازحين والمحتاجين في كل من فلسطين وسوريا وقرغيزيا، وباكستان، والهند، وكوسوفا، وألبانيا، والبوسنة، وإثيوبيا ولبنان بالإضافة إلى الأردن، وتونس وميانمار.
كما تم من خلال مبادرة “لأجل الإنسان H4” بالتعاون بين المفوضية السامية لشؤون اللاجئين وقطر الخيرية توزيع المساعدات على اللاجئين في العراق واليمن والأردن بقيمة تصل إلى حوالي 11 مليون ريال إلى جانب توزيع حقائب شتوية للأيتام في 9 دول تضمنت (ملابس شتوية – بطانية – سلة غذائية).
وشملت المساعدات أيضا توزيع مواد غذائية وإغاثة شاملة لأسر لاجئي الروهينغيا في الهند حيث استفاد منها 4792 شخصا، فيما وفرت الاحتياجات الشتوية الأساسية لـ 19,658 شخص في كل من البوسنة وقرغيزيا وكوسوفا والبانيا. فيما تم في الهند توزيع سلال غذائية لمتضرري الفيضانات وملابس شتوية للفقراء والمساكين واستفاد منها 33830 شخصا.
