Fire Station announces Youth Summer Programme

DOHA: The Doha Fire Station announced its annual Youth Summer Programme for young artists in Qatar to explore new mediums and work under mentorship of 4 multidisciplinary artists: Hazim Al Hussain, Noof Al Theyab, Noora Al Saie and Paula Bouffard, who each will conduct their own personal workshops for the public.
This year the programme starts on July 31 and will last till September 1. Events are scheduled weekly and will take place 5 times a week.
The workshops comprise:
Hazim Al Hussain: Acrylic Painting Techniques
Date: July 31 – August 4, 2022
In the first week of the programme, participants will investigate different painting methods and techniques using acrylic paint. We will be studying color, perspective, harmony, and contrast to produce an integrated painting.
Noof Al Theyab: Resin Art
Date: August 7-11, 2022
In the second week of the programme, participants will learn how to use resin and experiment with different moulds and materials to create your own personal artwork.
Noora Al Saie: Hey, it is Moving!
Date: August 21-25, 2022
In the third week of the programme, people will explore the different types of animations and guide you to move your random favourite daily objects and bring them to life.
Paula Bouffard: Fabric Patterning & Design
Date: August 28 – September 1, 2022
During the final week of the programme, guests will learn how to print on fabric using different techniques and explore several surface design basics, carve printing blocks, experiment with simple shapes and colours.
Khalifa Al Obaidly said: “It’s not the first year when Fire Station runs a special program to support young artists. We see this as an important mission of our institution that helps to support the young generations of creators. This year was no exception – during their master classes 4 artists will present their unique artistic approaches, show various techniques and help participants to unleash their creative potential.”

الدوحة: أعلنت /مطافئ – مقر الفنانين/، يوم أمس، أن البرنامج الصيفي للشباب سينطلق في 31 يوليو، ويستمر حتى الأول من سبتمبر وذلك لاستكشاف المواهب الفنية الجديدة بإرشاد فنانين ذوي تخصصات فنية متنوعة.
وأوضحت /مطافئ/ أن فعاليات البرنامج ستنظم أسبوعيا، وتقام خمس مرات في الأسبوع، مبينة أن البرنامج يشمل ورشة عمل /تقنيات الرسم بالأكريليك/ من 31 يوليو إلى 4 أغسطس للفنان حازم الحسين، وسيقوم المشاركون بالتمعُّن في طرق وتقنيات الرسم المختلفة باستخدام طلاء الأكريليك.
كما ستقام ورشة /فن الريزن/ للفنانة نوف الذياب من 7 إلى 11 أغسطس، وسيتعلم المشاركون كيفية استخدام الريزن، وسيجربون استخدام قوالب ومواد مختلفة لصناعة أعمالهم الفنية الخاصة.
ومن 21 إلى 25 أغسطس ستقام ورشة بعنوان /إنه يتحرك/ للفنانة نورة الساعي، وسيستكشف المشاركون من خلال الورشة أنواعا مختلفة من الرسوم المتحركة، ويرشدون إلى تحريك القطع الفنية المختلفة.
وفي الأسبوع الأخير من 28 أغسطس إلى 1 سبتمبر، سيتعلم المشاركون كيفية الطباعة على القماش باستخدام تقنيات مختلفة من خلال ورشة /تصميم النسيج والنقش عليه/ للفنانة بولا بوفارد.
وقال السيد خليفة العبيدلي مدير /مطافئ – مقر الفنانين/: “هذه ليست السنة الأولى التي تدير فيها مطافئ برنامجا خاصا يدعم الفنانين الشباب، فنحن نعتبر ذلك إحدى أهم رسائل مؤسستنا التي تساعد في دعم جيل اليافعين من المبدعين.
